September 2008 Fic Round Up
Between being struck with anemia and my subsequently half-hearted attempts to lay the smackdown on Chapter Five of Your Sorrow for Another Coin, it was something of a slow month. Hell, I'm still behind on fic reading let alone fic writing....
- Your Sorrow for Another Coin - Chapter 4 - Winchesters always needed protecting, from themselves as much as anything else - so maybe it was no surprise that Mama added all that thyme and basil and oregano into spaghetti sauce every time a Winchester crossed their doorstep. I'm halfway through the story at this point (as I am heading into the last section of Chapter Five) and I'm beginning to think that this is going to end up on the short list of stories I'm proud to have written. Outsider POV. John/OFC, Dean/OFC (Het). NC-17. Word count: 7109.
- I dream of a circle - She swallows her pills and falls asleep. Another story written for the Women of Supernatural Flashfic Challenge over at spn_xx. It features Tessa Bannister, the original character I'm using over at the occhallenge community; I submitted this for the Metal prompt. I played around with structural narrative in this one...but I'm not sure I like the result. Outsider POV. Gen. R. Adult themes, non-con. Word count: 1700.
- 'Til I Hit the Ground - "It's offcial. Hell is being stuck in an Aerosmith video." You all know the saying: When the going gets tough, the tough write smut. Written for the lovely embroiderama based on the prompt "stuck in an elevator between the floors of a dorm." It ended up being my entry for the Jukebox Hero challenge at spn_het_love due to my abuse of Aerosmith's "Love in an Elevator" and features Dean and Charlotte from the Georgetown!AU. Yes, another story where I sacrificed Charlotte's dignity on the altar of the funny. Dean POV. Dean/OFC (Het). NC-17. Word count: 2600.
