Watanuki was fiddling nervously with the corner of his apron as he sat in the kitchen. Hopefully Yuuko-san was appeased enough with the snacks and he would be able to just leave when--er, gods, that' ( Read more... )

As promised, Doumeki entered the shop at 7:30 sharp. The twins greeted him loudly, giving him news of their mistress health, without the need for the archer to ask. They left him, softly giggling all the way back to the shop owner no doubt.

Slipping his shoes off, he dug his hands in the pocket of his pants. The exorcist had changed from his school uniform to more casual clothes, a rare occurrence for him, especially that he was only going back and forth from the temple.

He threaded carefully towards the kitchen, not wanting Yuuko to notice his arrival, even if he knew deep inside she knew about his presence the moment he had walked through the front gate. He suspected the woman of wanting to give Watanuki and him "the talk", as she had threatened them before, and all Doumeki wanted was to leave as soon as possible so he could spend some time with his boyfriend.

His boyfriend. The new appellation still felt weird slightly to the archer, but it made him smile none the less.

He found Kimihiro sitting at the table, seemingly nervous about something. Shizuka couldn't help and wonder if the other male was nervous about spending the night at the temple--he had seemed like it when he had invited the seer over earlier.

He had heard the girls chattering loudly in the hall as someone entered, but he didn't seem to process the meaning of that. Instead, he stayed focused on a spot on the counter. Was he seeing things, or was that a stain on the counter? Maybe cleaning the kitchen a fourth time would be a good idea.

Watanuki jumped in his seat when he heard Doumeki enter the kitchen. Suddenly forgetting about cleaning round #4, the boy smiled and rose to his feet. "So punctual," he said, coming around the side of the table and reaching up to leave a quick kiss on the archer's mouth. "Just hold on a minute and I'll be ready to go. I already told Yuuko-san that I'll be leaving now, but that doesn't mean she'll try to stop me."

Kimihiro pulled back, taking off the kerchief from his hair and the apron--folding them neatly and placing them carefully on the edge of the table. He bent over and scooped up his bag and that day's bento box, both of which had been waiting patiently (well, patiently compared to their fidgety owner) and looked over at Shizuka. "Alright... Let's go." He wasn't too sure, but it sounded like his voice wavered slightly despite the carefree smile on his face.

Doumeki smirked slightly as he saw the pale boy jump in his seat the moment he walked in the kitchen. He couldn't really understand why Watanuki was so nervous regarding the thought of spending the night at the temple. In the archer's eyes, tonight was not much different from the last time the seer had stayed over. Except that this time they weren't both sick due to standing in the rain so much.

Shizuka was slightly surprised as the other male reached up to quickly kiss him, but still return the gesture happily. They had not seen much of each other between Watanuki's work and Doumeki's archery practices--that had increased thanks to the upcoming tournament the following week--and responsibilities at the temple. The exorcist had been looking forward to the night all day, even if he had no idea what they could do. He would have been content with simply holding on to the pale boy all night.

Once Watanuki had taken his things, the taller male walked back to the shop entrance, quickly putting on his shoes as he silently prayed Yuuko wouldn't stall them at all. He walked out of the building, almost hurrying to the gates; waiting for Kimihiro being the only thing that stopped Shizuka from doing so.
