WHO: Subaru, a random kitten, Seishirou, and anyone else [CLOSED/COMPLETE]
WHAT: ESCAPED KAMUI'S CLUTCHES FOR FIVE MINUTES WHAT D: Sitting under a cherry blossom tree, in the shade, with a kitten.
WHERE: Close to where the twins live.
WHEN: Early morning.
It wasn't like Subaru went out of the house by himself often. He usually went out with Kamui - really, he went everywhere with Kamui watching over him - and he liked it that way. But being the kind, gentle soul he was, when he'd seen Kamui fast asleep, he didn't want to disturb him. Subaru had caused so much worry for so long - so he earned that rest, Subaru figured.
Subaru didn't intend to wander far, and he didn't - for as he saw a characteristic tree with those pink and white blossoms he had to stop and look at it, and once he'd done that, he chose to sit down with his back against it, looking up as the wind gently blew the blossoms from the tree to the ground. These trees - they reminded him of him.
Lost in thought, Subaru didn't notice the small kitten that had been poised on its hunches as he sat down. He cast a gaze over it - and it still eyed him suspiciously. It seemed animals really could tell he wasn't human. Then again, Subaru acted like no normal vampire - and unwisely, reached out to touch it. He suceeded, causing the animal to calm down after it's initial warieness and come closer as, being a kitten, it enjoyed being petted - but not without a scratch or two, causing a thin trickle of blood to run down his fingers.
"Oh," Subaru said, looking blankly at his hand.
