*Amaterasu stares at him gently, and for a brief instant she raises her paw. For a moment it is not a paw, but a clawed white hand offering to him from the dreamberry. She whines softly.
Is he seeing her? It's strange, he's a lot like the deceased priest from Kusa Village. The one who called him 'Fair Maiden' and made Issun snicker hysterically into her fur.
From the furry white body that is glowing like a star; the soft faint, almost flaming outline of the woman. She's a brightness that hurts the eyes and she almost wishes the boy would look away because a god's true form is harmful to the mortal eye. But he's a bold boy, with dark searching eyes and a spirit both broken and whole with a purpose all his own.
He reminds her of Waka to an extent, always searching for something. She stares at his whirling eyes with the twisting circles and whines ( the humanoid shape sighes) and she lets out a series of barks*
(The human glowing faintly from within says softly, "You know my name." Her voice is quiet yet full of a depth. It's confusing because she is saying this as her earthly body barks. )
*He definitely sees her now, even without his Sharingan. The form of a seemingly young girl encased within that faint luminance. He knows better than to be deceived by her appearance, this human form. Gods, he knows, are ageless beings, intangible, unfathomable. This girl, this wolf; tangible.
He blinks as she speaks, a melodious echo in his mind as it laces through the barks that reach his ears.*
Aah. *He answers, and, slowly he reaches out a hand, two fingers grazing along the screen of his Dreamberry to touch the white paw--hand. It should feel ridiculous, this action, but he doesn't even think about it. Instead, he offers what he hadn't previously.* Uchiha Sasuke. *Eyes not as flat as they usually are, lips not as tight as they could be.*
[Amaterasu's lips form a smile from within the wolf, as she stares at the fingers offered to her. The fact that he can see her. Can realize who she is, makes her happy. She glows with the praise that is given to her, and that makes the form shine a little more clearly. ]
["Sasuke..?" She echoes the name softly, gently. "It's nice to meet you Sasuke. "]
*He can't sense her chakra through this screen, but there's that shift of tension that mists away from his body; he feels warmer, lighter almost in a way he doesn't bother examining too closely. He sees her smile, can feel its radiance in the way it tugs one corner of his lips up into something that's as close to a smile as he can get, right now.
Sasuke closes his eyes, and bows his head in acknowledge.* Hn.
*Amaterasu laughs, and the being inside the wolf puts her hands to her heart* 'You almost smiled then, Sasuke-san.' Her tone is light, cheerful. 'You must have a very nice smile, if you were to smile a full one.' She tilts her head to one side, her expression soft. 'Are you from Nippon as well, Sasuke?'
*Her words startle him just enough that it splashes into his eyes. He quickly looks away with a blink, frowning instinctively as a slight dusting of pink creeps onto his cheeks. It's not that he's blushing; no, that would be absolutely absurd.
But she reminds him of someone. Okaa-s--
Nippon? He's never heard of that place.* No.
*He says after a brief moment* ...Konoha. *but it's a faint reply. It sounds almost like a question.*
*Amaterasu sees this and smiles brightly, laughing softly within the form, her head tilts to one side, as she sees the blush. She wants to tease him over it but she feels it wouldn't be her place. 'Sou, it's okay Sasuke-san. I will not tell anyone about your almost-smile. It will be our secret. ' She says gently, before blinking at his words again.
'I see..' She frowns a little, ears drooping. '..Konoha? I've never heard of it. I really should watch over more than just Nippon...' She said faintly, her voice wistful.*
*Looks away, lest he gets more flustered than he's willing to admit. He's grateful somewhere under all those blank walls, but she doesn't need to see that. (Though she can probably sense it anyway.)
Watching over, huh? It's not a foreign concept, but the idea isn't so easy to grasp onto. Some shinobi can call upon the power of deities to use for their whims, at a price. To have one walk amongst them, well. Sasuke's not so sure a world that runs on a system that flows with blood would be deserving of a god like Amaterasu. She's too... gentle, kindhearted.
Sasuke makes a faint sound. He's listening, he just doesn't have anything to say.*
*She frowns. 'I really need to be getting back...I have to protect them.' She looked up at him with a small, soft smile. 'Are you protecting anyone, Sasuke-san?*
*Confusion creases his brow for just a brief moment. Sasuke ignores it in favor of the question, looking carefully away from the screen.* Protect? *There's a slight scoff coloring that word. It's not scorn, but it's not anything else.
Then he states simply, almost too casually:* I'm an avenger. *Was, but he doesn't say that.*
