Sixth Sunrise- COLORS OF THE WIND? HI DISNEY.
[ The video opens up to a beautiful white haired girl with wolf ears and tail, shining brightly. She's a Goddess, with a flaming reflector on her back, markings on her body. She seems to be an invisible form that hovers over Amaterasu's wolf form, as the girl opens her mouth and begins to sing.
"You think you own whatever land you land on..The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim." The Wolf pauses, and takes out a bag of feed, watching as birds begin to flutter around her, and the woman who kneels beside the wolf, same markings and equipment, but transparent form, smiles indulgently as she raises her clawed fingers to catch a fluttering sparrow.
"But I know every rock and tree and creature. Has a voice, has a spirit, has a name." And Amaterasu looks up at a cherry-covered tree, where from it a giggling Sprite named Sakuya waves, calling her 'Mother'.
The scene changes, and instead of seeing Amaterasu as one who believes in gods would, you see a plain white wolf walking the streets, and connected to her, is the downtrodden Human!Ammy, singing softly, wistfully, "You think the only people who are people, Are the people who look and think like you.." And they pause, both forms, staring as a shopkeeper in Kusa Village accidentially knocks over a statue of Amaterasu as she really looks. Someone walks over to Amaterasu and begins to pet her, saying, "Oh what a cute dog!'
"But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger, " Amaterasu continued, her long white hair swaying in the breeze because as she walks by a priest, his eyes widen, and he quickly offers her an offering.
"You'll learn things you never knew you knew.."
Once again, the scene changes, and Amaterasu is standing on a hilltop, head pulled back, wolf form howling loud as the thread that connects her true form, her goddess form, stands beside her. "And have you ever heard the wolf cry, to the blue corn moon? " And from the sky the constellation of Kabigami, the cat goddess grins from her place in the sky.
"Have you ever asked the bobcat why he grinned?"
Amaterasu continues, as her clawed fingers touch a tree, and it bursts into bloom, the same motion done from Amaterasu's wolf form, who takes out a brush in her mouth and paints a circle of the tree. "Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains?"
And as that tree bursts into bloom, the whole countryside erupts with flowers and trees, animals, people, wind and sun. "Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?"
"Come run the hidden pinetrails of the forest, come taste the sweet sunberries of the earth, come roll in riches all around you, and for once, never wonder what they're worth.." Amaterasu sings, as a child rides on her physical form's back as she runs, panting and grinning through the forest, but in reality, if people truly saw Amaterasu as she was, you just see a girl with a light around her, ears and tail, singing this Disney song and running, leaving trails of light behind her as she leaps from hill and rock. Weird stuff.
The wolf bounces through town as the rain starts, seeking shelter under a roof as she takes out a bag of feed for more animals. "The rainstorm and the river are my brothers. The heron and the otter are my friends. " Her human form sings, doing a little dance in the rain as she suddenly smiles, pointing to the sky as she moves the clouds back from the sun, letting it shine.
"But we are all connected to each other. In a circle, in a hoop that never ends.." With a final twirl she raises her hands out around her, smiling blissfully. She walks through the fields of Shinshu, pointing to a field with and then at a tree. "How high does the sycamore grow? " She smiles. "If you cut it down, then you'll never know. "
"And you'll never hear the wolf cry, " And Amaterasu watches over the village of Kamiki, a loud howling escaping her jaws as she watches, surveys, as she has for 200 years this place. Human!Amaterasu gently pets her physical form, as she stands atop a hill, the sun rising behind her, hair swaying like some epic movie, she's blinding.
"You can own the earth and still, all you own is earth until..." And smiling, she takes out a brush, painting the sun in the sky. "You can paint with all the colors of the wind..." And a bright light engulfs everything, her voice trailing away as does the long howl that matches with it, same pitch, same timing..for they're two voices, just in two different forms.
And the dream fades out with a statue of Amaterasu covered with flowers, the countryside filled with life and nature.
