Glad you liked it, too. :D I thought it was a little boy, too--which made his dancing all the more surreal--but his movements and gestures are too adult-like.
The cigarette reminds me of a funny story. I was white water rafting in West Virginia and we were on one of the calm parts of the river. The guide was talking about some things and we were all asking questions.
Our raft was drifting closer to a father and son fishing from a boat on the river. Everyone gradually gets quiet and no one on our raft is saying anything. Everyone is staring at the father and son.
The father is the stereotypical West Virginian, scruffy, greying beard, trucker hat, no shirt, darkly tanned, leathery skin. His son--who looks about ten years old--looks like River Phoenix's character in "Stand By Me," faded jeans, white t-shirt, blonde crew cut. Only, he looks meaner and has a tattoo on his upper arm and a cigarette dangling from his lips.
He must have sensed everyone staring at him because he looks up at us and his expression said, "what the fuck are you all staring at!" Afterwards, we were all still quiet for about ten more minutes. It was kind of unbelievable. My wife asked me, "did that little boy have a tattoo?" I answered, "uh huh." "And, was he smoking?" Again, I answered, "uh huh."
I have never in my life been so overcome with laughter!!sunsetberlinOctober 14 2006, 00:51:06 UTC
When I finally realized that the music was purposefully stopping for him and that he was freezing with the music, I LOST IT!! DAYUM!! That was too much!!
