so saturday was....weird. confusing. an emotional experience. (really.)

we started the day by taking an hour and a half trip to poughkeepsie, ny, to see vassar. big mistake. no, not because the campus is horrible, the teachers suck, the students hate it, or the library is lacking. quite the opposite. I LOVE THAT SCHOOL. everything afore mentioned should be reversed. everything was beautiful (especially the boys..) and the theaters (yes, plural) were gorgeous, and big and presidium-like-broadway-esque. if that makes sense. oh-mi-gawd. i practically stopped breathing when we got to the library, and i forgot to breath when i saw the victorian style dorms. that were quite nicely sized. and everyone gets housing. for freshman, getting a triple or double is the most likely situation, but for sophomores and juniors, it's an option. wow. and seniors get apartment style living w/ peers. fuckmonkeys, i only had a hernia. it was that great. the tuition was daunting, but that's workable.

why is it a big mistake? because i won't get in. i know that for a fact. and by going to see the school, i've raised the hope that i will get accepted. i told my father that when i get the rejection, i will jump out of a tree. he laughed. i was completely serious. and if by some chance, i get accepted? i will cry for a week. that is how emotionally involved i am. scary. but i know that i can't get in, so i'm scoping out potential trees instead.

then, we had to go to the wedding. ah. the wedding. what a trip. first, we got lost looking for the church and missed the ceremony. (that's alright with me..churches are daunting, and deanna had been married by a justice of the peace for two years already...her husband was going on tour in iraq) so, the reception...

...was at a really crappy hotel. i knew that when we went into the parking garage without paying. (and then consequentially left without paying..) then we went through a hall to get to the hotel, and it smelled like the WBT breezeway. not a fun smell ---like weeks of rotting garbage. so we went upstairs to my aunt's hotel room to get chnanged into our formal gear, and we her screeching and singing down the hallway. it was FOUR O'CLOCK and people were already drunk. sad.

then we went downstairs and found that there were fifteen weddings going on this weekend. LOL. to make long stories short, i got stared at by men in and out of tuxedoes, drunks, and stoners...the food was atrocious...my father's patience was waning quickly....my cousin's arch nemesis (some woman's son) was almost assigned to sit at our table...his mother sat with us instead.....people were loaded by 7pm....some woman made aunt alba cry because she kept talking about uncle louie and heaven....the music sucked...the booze sucked....everything edible sucked....did i mention the food sucked? nobody mentioned uncle rocky...who was technically deanna's father. he had died when she was little, and her mother got remarried, but still. they could mention the groom's dead father.. and not rocky. retarded.

PS: gloria almost started a fight over it. she is amazing. i wonder if she got wasted or not...? we left at 10, before they could serve the cake...and got home at like, 12.

ah. life. tomorrow: taping first period. so don't wait up for me.

college apps = scary. sister mister makes it worse.
