***6 degrees? That's really cold!!***
Terrorists!! Yup.. they're no longer extremists or plain old criminals... they terrorize and hence are terrorists. Russian tragedy with the ill-prepared handling of the hostage situation. I'm sure some of you have seen the message going around MSN to put a rose in front of your name and pass the message to friends on your list as respect to the dead. I got this message on Saturday night. Didn't pass it on, but put the rose up.. no one asked me about it. At that time, only the person who sent me that had the rose up. Sunday, I came on and there it is, a list of 6 people with the rose. It's Monday night as I write this, and there are maybe a dozen people with roses. 6 degrees of seperation kinda at work. The message spread fairly fast. Also considering the person who sent me the flower thing didn't live in Melb, it just shows the extent of how well people are connected around the world. God bless the internet.

***6 degrees? Again?!***
Was watching the Band In The Bubble Jabba update today.. good concept. Saw Quan and SPOD freestyle battle. hahaha Quan kicked ass!! Was a really funny battle. Anyways, the 6 degrees was actually on after the Band In the Bubble.. Yumi and James Matherson does a segments called Porn Review. hahaha it was hilarious. They reviewed a porno called 6 Degrees of Penetration. It tests the 6 degrees of separation, except with.. uh.. sex (duh). There was nothing explicit about it, just them talking about it.. The greatest quote was Yumi asked people to SMS vote if Lil' Kim, Gwenyth Paltrow or Missy Elliot had better tits. Jimmy replied "Well personally I wouldn't touch Gwenyth with someone else's cock". hahaha BRILLIANT!

***John Safran takes on God***
Speaking of the almighty one, I've started watching John Safran Vs God on SBS, Monday 8.30pm. After watching John Safran's Music Jamboree last year, I have come to the conclusion that this bastard has the same cynical analytic type of humour as me. The shit he does is absolutely brilliant. I heard vague whispers of this show, but had forgotten about it (premier being last week). I woke up this morning, and Hughesy, Kate and Dave were chatting to him about it. He had interviewed Dave O'Neille's dad who is a Freemason. This week he looked into Freemasons, Buddhism and had a short skit dissing the Catholics. By 'sampling' each religion, he inadvertently (or deliberately) disrespects all of them.

I was drawn in by the radio talk show this morning, as they even called up Rove. Supposedly John and Rove had a fall out and so on one of the religious explorations he goes and finds a voodoo priest who puts a death warrant on Rove. Sounded bloody hilarious, and so I put in a mental reminder to watch it.

Was not disappointed. The portrayal of Freemasons as a secret society of Satanic goat torturing looneys who dance on electrified horse piss was really really funny. Funnier yet was his trip to Japan to learn about Buddhism. His snyde remarks with his stupid voice and accent (natural) makes it so much more funny. As he lived the harsh life of the a monk; he learnt their customs. One of which was to get beaten for not concentrating while meditating. They hit REALLY hard.. you could hear and see, they left marks on him. The funniest part was when he must ring the bell to receive a "koan". First, a koan is a profound question which you must discover the answer within yourself like "what is the sound of one hand clapping." He must ring the bell twice, then head to the head priest/monk's room to receive the koan. On the second ring, he hits the bell really hard and knocks it over to the horror of the monk supervising him. He's such a bastard lol. Brilliant!!

John received the koan of "who are you?". To which he quickly replied, "I'm John Saffran". hahaha the head priest guy just looks at him and shakes his head. He asks again and John is really confused and asks the monk "who are YOU?". lol you should see the frustration on the monk's face. So he goes on and asks tentatively "I am a person.. in this.. world?" The monk tells him not to use words. John is confused and tries to think of a cliche thing to say.. "I am nothing". The monk nods and says "That is still a word, but close, think about it some more". John is lost as to how to not use words. The rest of the show is a must see to even comprehend how utterly stupid and funny it is as he ridicule's each of the 22(?) religion he will encounter through the series.

Website has video clips of his closing rant about Catholics and clips of him at the Buddhist temple.

***Life's hardest lessons...***
As one grows older, you learn more about life. You realise that somethings people say, people say for a reason. You realise your parents are right, you realise cliches and stereotypes exist for a reason and you realise that life is a bitch. You also realise a multitude of 'sayings' are also true.

'You don't know what you have till it's gone'
'One man's junk is another man's treasure'
People have different priorities, different needs in this life. Sometimes they don't know how much these things are needed. Maybe they realise that they need these things too late. Maybe they don't realise that they're needed. Embrace life and the chances you're given. Problem is, you don't know what these chances are until they've passed. It isn't important I guess.. we shouldn't dwell on things that could/should/would have been. What's done is done.. if they fix themselves they fix themselves.

I love being vague ;) Mystery... or not...

***Do The B-side***
NEED to do two DAI entries. First, commemorative 5th year anniversary CD. Do The B-side contains all B-side tracks except for Under the Moon (I don't know why, it was at the request of the company). B-side tracks are the tracks that come with singles, some of which don't even come on the album. Not only is this great in that it's a new CD, but there's a T-shirt that comes with it!! A DAI shirt.... I want.

But what would I want more?... read on

***JEALOUS >_<***
There is ONE more thing on that CD. Yes, a new song by DAI!!! The song is called "Be Free" and it's absolutely awesome. Following in the vein of their newer stuff, it's uplifting soft rock.. much like Under the Sun and Honjitsu wa Seiten Nari. Why the jealousy? It stems from a few entries back. Yes, Do As Infinity Live in USA. The entire clip is shot in America, following Ryo and Tomiko as their went site seeing and performing at the Cutting Room and A-kon.

As last entry had mentioned, people over at www.daiforum.com had a chance to not only see them live in concert, but also got to take pictures, chat with DAI both in and out of official meetings and get things signed. What more could you want? Well how about appearing in their PV?!!! >_< omg those lucky SOBs. FOBulous, Seven, BanChanFan and Mojo Shivers are there among many other fans. Those four are noticeable as they are seen holding the big white banner up

*sigh* I'm so obsessed.. I love DAI.. and I live for it. hahahaha what would I do if Tomiko and Ryo told me to kill someone? hmmmm... As I type this, I can see them making a Law & Order episode out of this.. 'Psycho fan kills for band'.

Side note; this clip is PERFECT for my Japanese project about Japanese music in America. Sloo, I'm gonna have to squeeze this into our presentation.. must.. play.. clip.... gotta spread the DAI love ;) haha You should grab some anime eps, pass them to me.. and I can cut and montage them? I dunno.. haha I have programs to do that so tell me if you want... though I have no experience in doing AMVs ^^'

john safran, do as infinity
