A/N: I'd say I'm on fire, but it's just that I have no life. XD
Anyway, the fic is based on
Lie to me by Shane Mack. I love this song to bits. The lyrics are in italics.
It's lonely and chilly as Eunhyuk extends his hand just enough to caress the cold spot on the mattress next to him; just like he had done half an hour ago, and one hour before that. It's lonely and chilly as he allows the sunrays creeping into the room to comfort him silently.
But then the door opens wide, the aroma of that familiar pine-scented shampoo filling the small room quickly.
"Well, you're up early," a smiling Donghae says, hair slightly damp, gray sweatpants hanging lazily around his hips.
"Mhm," he murmurs in reply, his eyes following the other as he makes his way towards the edge of the bed. "When did you wake up?" he adds.
"About 15 minutes ago. Had a shower and came back," a smile and a frown.
A dip and a kiss.
Lie
of why you're leavin' early
Deny that you're in any hurry
Cry and tell me not to worry
'Cause what I don't know is never gonna hurt me
Eunhyuk doesn't talk about this. What they have(?) He doesn't, because he can't find the words to describe it. The words to explain. To make others understand he's not being taken advantage of.
He can't remember a mere moment of honesty. It didn't exist because he didn't ask for it. There were never Vows of Undying Love and Total Truth. And neither of them objects to it. Neither of them is willing to change anything.
Breathe, now baby don't feel guilty
Deceive me then just walk away
Believe me, the truth would only kill me
Donghae lowers his whole body as the kiss deepens, and as he grasps the back of the other's neck, Hyukjae decides that he's okay with the situation like this. He likes them, the lies and the kisses.
It's gotta be,
It's gotta be this way
They're on their sides now, hands everywhere and faces only inches apart. Breaths mingle and knees bump. It's not awkward. It's not truly affectionate either.
'It's... us,' Eunhyuk thinks.
Donghae leaves a small kiss on the other's nose and continues, peppering his whole face, fingers entwined and eyes closed.
'Maybe it's just that special moments come along with special people,' the dancer finds out.
Please, before you let go of me
Tease me one more time
Appease me, tell me that you love me
That you haven't gone and changed your mind
Donghae now comes to hover over him and Hyukjae watches in fascination as muscles ripple beneath taught skin, shoulder-length hair clinging on cheeks and neck.
Strong arms on either sides of Eunhyuk's head, supporting the weight.
Reaching up, his hands latch on to the other's biceps.
"Tell me," the fingers of his right hand playing a slow rhythm on the brunet's arm. "Do you love me?" his voice vague.
Donghae smiles that smile and his face is gradually buried in the other's neck. "I love you," he whispers, lips tickling the older's skin as he speaks.
One more bad excuse
Before you turn me loose
Give me something to remember you by
"Donghae?" he calls, and watches as the boy comes back into view, face beautiful, features soft yet strong.
"Hm?" he responds, brows momentarily rising in that familiar way they do every time.
"Was that a lie too?" he asks, hands leaving their spot and traveling lower, stopping on the younger's waist.
Couldn't you offer me a little dishonesty?
Promise me you'll try
You'll lie to me
Lie to me
His eyes shift to the left and the corners of his mouth tilt upwards.
A shake of the head.
"No."
A kiss.
