I already posted this at the UNCG community, but I thought that I'd post it here too, just in case someone random reads this.
Some of you may or may not have heard, but Tri-Sigma is holding a fundraiser. It is going to be a Dance Marathon, twenty-four hours, 10am-10am from April 2nd-3rd (Saturday-Sunday). The fundraiser is specifically to help one of our Sigmas, Anne Blosser, who is suffering from kidney failure and has to have a transplant. Anne's story is an interesting one. Her and her brother share the same Kidney disease. Both of their parents have donated a kidney, Anne's dad gave his to her brother, while Anne received her mother's kidney. There is nobody else from their family that can give a kidney, but she must have the surgery.
If you would like to participate in the Dance Marathon, you should contact Jamie DeLong at sigmaswete@hotmail.com, as you'll need to sign a release form and consent to the fundraiser.
Each participant will be asked to raise $75 dollars (however they want to) The minimum amount of hours that you can do is 12. For every hour that you aren't there, you must raise an extra $5 (therefore it will technically be cheaper for you to stay the full 24 hours). There will be opportunities for you to sit down, as we will be providing entertainment and food (there will be a step show!), so you don't have to dance 24 hours non-stop.

Make sure that you put "Dance Marathon" as the subject of your email if you decide to contact Jamie.
If you simply cannot participate in the Tri-Sigma Dance Marathon but you'd like to show your support, you may contact any Tri-Sigma on campus if you'd like to wear one of our green "livestrong" bracelets in support of Anne for $2 each, or if you'd like to color a ribbon and put a nice message on it for $1 which we will be displaying at the dance marathon and eventually giving to Anne.
