*this is what i commented in sara's journal*her excerpts are bolded

by saying that the inevitability of death should take the inspiration out of life is not the path less taken. by giving up everything and saying it is useless is like giving up before a fight. there are things that are greatly misunderstood in this lifetime...and the uncertainty of what happens after death does two things to people

makes them live like never before
or
makes them give up because of the inability to face death.

seeing death happen to a close friend shakes more than just emotion. it shakes the mental capacity and the area that we hate to open- that vulnerability and want to stay alive forever, when we know we are utterly and completely helpless.

""another side to this is all the stuff we are taught in school, matter cannot be created nor destroyed right? so when someone dies its just going to repeat, this time with a different face?""

the whole deal with matter is irrelevant. when someone dies, their body is still matter...at least the physical part. eventually everything decomposes into the earth, keeping it matter. but the soul, and the self conscious..that isnt matter. that isnt anti-matter either. and yes there is such a thing as anti-matter. the soul is simply a self concsious "thought" to give most people something to live for. when the physical body dies, everyone has a different view of what happens. but it has nothing to do with science, but on aspect

God is different for everyone. Religion is something to ease the pain of the unknown. it is something for people to live by so things wont be so chaotic. not many religions believe in heaven and hell. zoroastrianism, christianity, and i THINK islam does too. but there is reincarnation, and then there is that perspective that...just..you're dead and buried. the end

God is a name for something that has become way too commercialized. We, as humans, or whatever... arent puppets. we expect on some level that there is an almighty God up there to make things all better...so we become lazy. By blaming it on God, or on something else that cant harm us, then we feel better. But thats not true at all. By having something to fall back on, everythings ok. theres someone up there to protect us. and we all go on.

oooh another question to the religious question if there is a "heaven" why don't you just kill yourself right now to get to it. because if its all that its cracked up to be then you should WANT to die.

My mysticism and kabbalah teacher told my 8th grade class that --The minute we are born we start to die. its up to us to make that the life we want to live. no matter how good heaven sounds, the uncertainty of those stories make us want to live as long as possible. think about it. the people who made up this "heaven" were obviously alive. So...how the fuck do they know?
THATS exactly why people are so afraid of dying.well. Mostly all of them.

I believe there is this "Great scheme" for the world. I dont have a specific idea of what it is, but i believe that it is there.  Population control is what so many people say, but thats absurd. maybe its a wakeup call. i dont know. but some things cant be explained, and no one can explain them. Being mad at the world and at this so-called God will not make life any better.
