sigh....

remember my last post about getting into UNSW? my mum had a chat with my aunt in aussie, and the conclusion they got to was to apply for IT/computer science courses orz

their reasoning was that commerce/business/management is really broad, and since i'm taking this degree to get a job, i should do something more 'specialist' like IT/computer science.

...yeah they said that. if you know people doing CS, you will know how much BS that can be... imo, CS is just as general as business? if just sounds more specialist because HK is such a business-based city (seriously, everyone and everything around me is business/finance related), they think business is broad orz

and i don't think i mentioned it here, but i actually found a course i think i'll enjoy? science communication :D i was thinking of being a teacher, but it's not really for me because i can't really teach and... i just don't think i'll enjoy it?

i like talking about science... and making people find it interesting? when my mum and i went to this aussie uni fair, one of the guys there said i should look at sci comm? my hair stylist (yes i talk about life problems with my hair stylist XD) also mentioned if i wanted to learn (i figured out around a month ago, i don't mind working but i want to learn? like... constant learning sorta thing) while working, i should like.. help people write papers or something similar? so sci comm is a pretty good course to take...

but of course in the mind of my business/work-conscious and partially in my mind too, sci comm isn't very good for job prospects? especially in hong kong... there's so little science in this damn city... it's only in univerisities and random articles in newspapers? but even those are done by journalism/communication majors and not scientists... which is why i hate reading those sections XDD;; i just think they twist everything... *rambles*

i just... i dunno orz who would think there's so much to worry about after undergrad? XD;;

unsw, uni apps, job opportunity = 0, science communication
