i've figured the best way to explain ani-com to other people.
imagine comiket.
shrink it to 25%.
increase the attendence by 12% more.

well granted ani-com is for 5 days and has everything ACG and comiket is only 3 days and doujinshi only, it's hard to compare. but by sheer numbers + area, that's around it :D
