about that whole internet thing, my brother said that the solution to that problem is simple yet not so simply applicable.
He thinks the best way instead of adding more "backbones", to just upgrade the current data transmission system, as you probably know the data transferred around the world primarily uses optical cable, now considering that we only use one wavelength to transmit data, why not just do multiple receivers/transmitters that send data in multiple wavelengths in the SAME cable, voila... you don't add more cables but you get multiplies of the bandwidth! :P
doesn't what he said scream "physics"? or maybe it's just me -________-' yes he always talks like a nerd when it comes to engineer related stuff. Don't understand half of what he says all the time *shrugs* but i still listen XD I talk pandas-are-sooo-cute! and he talks you-can't-really-shut-internet-down+theory...>_____>' our brains don't mix nor are they compatible LOL XDDD;
