Ebony curls in tendrils, wisps of hair lay on alabaster stone.
Smooth ivory skin encases his mind in silk alone.
A statue carved of human flesh and bone.
His moonlit gaze can take you apart.
A fall from grace, your descent begins with a gentle start.
Struggle as you might, the spider in his lair,
the restraints keep you bound.
Your whimpers and moans are the only sound.
You realize you cannot escape his hold.
Duality of fire and ice, steals into your body, as you collapse and fold.
There is something about him, sacred and free.
A secret smile, reserved and received by only me.
An ordinary man with a wounded healer's touch.
A soldier sent home, broken, penniless, with few possessions, not much.
The dark angel pleads; "Save me from madness", as tears threaten to fly.
Allay the whirling of the mind with a gentle sigh.
As much as I saved him, he saved me.
With a generous invitation to live on the edge and see.
One day when the puzzles and chases pass.
We will fly with the bees among the flowers and the grass.
