so i've been procrastinating writing this entry for a while now b/c i thought it was ridiculous. but there comes a time in everyone's life when they need to realize that, yes the dryer does eat your socks.
i dont know about you, but for me, i hate it when i do my laundry and i'm matching my socks and somehow with every damn load i seem to come up with one sock that doesn't match to anyother one. one sock out of every load that is missing it's mate; it's soul mate, twin, brother/sister, however you want to look at it. i search all over my room, my laundry room, my brothers and sisters rooms, everywhere just for one lost sock. it's annoying a pain in the butt and in the long run, a waste of money. last year when i switched schools and no longer needed to wear knee socks, i bought 3 packages of "no-shows." (for those of you who have never heard of "no-shows," they're socks so short that when you wear them with shoes, you can't tell you have socks on.) So 3 packages of socks puts me at roughly 30 pairs of socks, and for whatever reason my dryer doesn't like me. It ate and ate and ate every time i did my laundry, more and more socks came up missing. it's time to put an end to this mennace. i will not let my dryer eat anymore of my socks! i'm fresh out of socks. i've been borrowing my step-mom's socks for the past week. today i'm going to walmart and buying new socks and from today forward, i'm air-drying my socks. yes i'm going to hang a line in my backyard and clip each and every one of my new socks to that line every time i do my laundry. call me crazy, wierd, whatever name fits your description of me, but if this is what it's going to take to get my dryer to stop eating my socks, then it's going on a severe diet for quite a while, or maybe just until a racoon or something starts eating my socks outside.
rip socks :(
