I guess a lot of people are leaving - there are a lot less people around the city. I saw what looks like a way out, but... I don't think I want to leave yet. Besides, what if I end up in some world that isn't my own? I mean, no one else here is from my world, so what's the likelyhood of me getting back safe? I'd have to come back here anyway to try

I don't think I'd like it - sure, I can run away from most of my enemies here, but if I ended up in a new world, something there might be able to catch me. And then have me for lunch.

I didn't think about that. That would be pretty rough to go from the best at something to the worst...

Yeah. You have swords, right? You could probably fight your way out of a bad situation, but all I can really do is run. If someone catches me, or can slow me down, I probably won't be able to fight well enough to get away.

Besides, the gods said that if we stay here we'll survive the end of the worlds. I wouldn't mind that.

Maybe you should learn how to fight? There are plenty of people here who can teach you.

I don't know if I like that. Sure, I'll survive, but all of my friends back home... no, I won't stand for that. I'll do whatever I can to avoid the worlds' destruction, no matter what it takes.

I know a little... but it wouldn't be bad to learn more. I tend to rely on my speed to get a lot of hits in before anyone can hit me. This way, I can typically survive in a battle against someone a lot stronger than me.

You're going to try to stop the end of the worlds? How would you even go about that? Isn't it sort of inevitable?

I'm going to try. There are others who are willing to fight, so as long as we agree to work together, anything can get done.

Yeah, I've been worrying about that myself a bit. I can fight some, but without my speed it's unlikely I'd win. Do you know anyone who can teach me?

Do you know how to go about it? I might be willing to help, but I want to know that there's a good plan first...

Um, I could... teach you how to fight with swords, but fistfighting isn't my specialty. If my friend Regal were here, I could ask him to teach you.

... I don't know yet. I want to see how other people react first.

I don't think I want to learn to fight with swords... maybe a few knife tricks would be helpful, but mostly I do want to fight with my hands. Well, if you happen to hear of any good fighters, point me in their direction!

I think there are some other people working on it too... maybe you could work with them?
