i just went to http://www.donotcall.gov and put our home phone number on this list so that we stop getting 237897532947832 calls from telemarketers a day (including the ones from companies who tell their outsourced workers in india to use "american" names to somehow seem more appealing er something; i.e. "john smith" and, my personal favorite, "abraham lincoln"... seriously abraham lincoln called my house once and tried to get me to buy something before). although, on the home page of this site it gives this link for sellers and telemarketers to subscribe to the list which would completely defeat the purpose. but i'll still be elated even if we only get half as many calls a day.
