for the most part, weddings are stupid and awkward and virtually pointless (except for maybe the legal aspect of it). and trying to find a dress to wear to a wedding is just as stupid. i don't understand why someone would spend hundreds of dollars on a dress they'll probably only wear once and probably be uncomfortable in. thank god my thrifty gene kicked in today when i got to spend 4 hours at david's bridal with my mom and aunt looking for attire for some distant relative's wedding that i've probably never even met before. thirty bucks for a fancy dress aint that bad. but still, weddings suck. my sister is right, people should just have drive-thru weddings. at one place you can stop and greet the couple, then you can drop off the gift, then you can pick up your dessert, and be outta there in under five minutes. no awkward smiley moments with the people you don't know who are sitting at your table or unidentifiable meat for dinner or stupid clunky heels. i'm telling you, drive-thru weddings are the way to go.
