Semester of joy; costuming
I currently have no idea where my camera is, and my room looks like a tornado blew through it due to costuming madness, so a picture post will have to be forthcoming.
I ended up waiting until Sunday, and the fabric I needed was on sale as I had guessed! I wasn't able to find suitable lace, but I'm still in the process of going through closets...I'm sure I can find some old dress that can have the lace ripped off. Right now the highest contender is my first communion dress. Not sure if that's blasphemy. If I did take it off, I'd have to be careful to remove it in such a way that it could be put back on later. Also I decided to forget about the designs on the skirt for now. I don't know embroidery and it would be a shame to kill a skirt with puffy paint.
I also decided that paying $11 shipping for historically correct online fabric is easier than trying to find something decent here. I may not get it until after school starts, which means my work costume may have to happen by hand, but it will get done, darnit. I decided that wearing it to the potential Williamsburg trip might be a bit weird, but I DEFINITELY want to have it done by Patriot's Day for Battle Road.

Just a little while ago I got an email from my acting teacher that apparently the class time has to be moved, and as I seem to be one of three students in the class, my schedule is going to determine the outcome. She suggested I switch my philosophy and theatre times. Much as I'd love to be easy to please, the only class available is with Senor Creamsicle, and I will kill myself. Besides, the only other time I would be able to get into that class with Dr. Habib is senior year, and I want to get this over with. The other option was to move the class to Tuesday/Thursday, which would actually be kind of awesome. Yeah, I have never had a Thursday that did not make me want to bash my head against a wall, but this would also give allow me to have lunch on Wednesdays AND Fridays off, which would be amazing if my internship pans out. So,
Monday: Philosophy 11:30-12:45
Theatrical Makeup 6:30-8:00
Tuesday: Anthropology 10:00-11:15
Archaeology 1:00-2:15
Acting 2:30-3:25
Wednesday: Philosophy 11:30-12:45
Thursday: Anthropology 10:00-11:15
