Bilbao, stad der punk
I checked the line-up for my summer festivals a few days ago and I just couldn’t believe my eyes.
Groezrock: Bad Religion, Story of the Year, Parkway Drive and oldies like SUM 41, AFI and LIT. I mean, that is just pure heaven. So many of my favourite bands united in one little punkrock festival.
Rock Werchter: 30 Seconds to Mars and Rise Against are coming the same day as Green Day, and wouldn’t that be just the day I’m going? It’s totally insane. I missed some of these bands several times but now finally I’ll get to see them.
I also went to Bilbao last weekend. The weather was sunny and warm and the city is really cool. A lot of young people have this punkrock or alternative look, they wear a lot more black than anywhere else in Spain. I love walking around in a city like that. We visited the Guggenheim and other museums, and I met this other Comenius girl from Belgium. If only every weekend was that exciting...
