Daigo and Koji won Myojo's annual Junior competition in the "Jr you'd want to make your lover" category in 2018, first and second place respectively. As a reward, they got their own close-up interview in the form of fifty questions in the July 2019 issue.

1. Three points of a girl that makes you want to make her your girlfriend
It has always been "natural makeup, aligning her shoes, not speaking badly of my friends" up until now, but recently there's a new point I want to add... First of all, whether it's our sense of laughter, our taste palate, and/or our fashion sense, someone who's compatible in various ways. And also, someone who will let me be spoiled. Even men want to enjoy sleeping in someone's arms♡ I'd end up lending her my arm, so it'd be nice if I could have her's for the first five minutes.
2. When was your first love?
During preschool, our mothers were friends, a girl whom I played with often. We gave each other pencil sharpeners on our birthdays but then she moved. Sort of like, she disappeared before I realized I liked her.
3. When was your most popular period in life?
I was naughty in primary school and did as I pleased, so I was popular within my class, but I was definitely popular (with girls) in high school. I failed at creating a character for myself in middle school, so I wasn't able to speak to girls. I let loose in high school and started paying attention to my hair and such; I was asked "what school do you go to?" on the train! But I lied and said the name of a better ranked school lol
4. How would you approach the girl you're interested in?
I'll make eye contact. During class, I'd think "won't she look over here~" while staring at her; and when she notices, I'll avert eye contact... I'll keep doing this until she starts to think "our eyes meet a lot~" lol
5. A confession situation you admire
I go see off the girl at the station where she'll board the last train of the day, as I stop in place to say "I have something to tell you....," the last train takes off in front of our eyes. I'd say "I guess the last train left..." and then we'll walk back together. That's where I'll confess. A simple "I like you, please go out with me" without putting on airs.
6. What happens when you're in love?
I'd get jittery thinking, "she won't message me~" "is it ok if I message her~?" etc.
7. A song you want to listen to when you're in love
It's got to be "Cinderella Girl" by King and Prince, no? I think it'll be good to play it when you're confessing. "Please go out with me!" "ok" "Kimi ha~🎶" See, it fits! On the flip side, I think this song even matches when you're dumped! When you're heartbroken, you can listen to this song while crying in the rain.
8. A gesture from a girl that makes your heart skip a beat
When she ties up her hair, and when her bundled up hair sticks out from the hole in the back of a cap. Though the best is when she laughs at my jokes.
9. When you're crushing, do you have others around you help? or do you keep it a secret?
I'll get advice from my friends. I wouldn't be able to keep it to myself, plus things like "how should I respond to this text?" etc, I want to share the happy times of being in love with someone.
10. While you're talking to a person you're interesting it, but there's no respond in a week.... what would you do?
That sucks.... what would I do.... Pretend to have made a mistake and call her asking "did you call me?"
11. Who do you not want as your love rival?
Realistically, it's got to be Daigo lol. That's cause he's number one in the Jr you'd want as your lover category.

It's Muro Ryuta. Even now I have him listen to a lot of my problems.
13. If you were a girl, who would you want to date? (who seems popular?)
Watanabe Shota-kun. His face is totally my type. I've been uploading a picture of Shota-kun every time on Johnny's Web. At long last, I've created a "this month's one Shota*" corner yesterday.

14. What do you do on the day before the first date?
I think about what clothes I should wear, and prepare for where we'd go and what we'd do. After that is, like planning the timing to give her a present?
15. What scent on the person that you like, would make you happy?
Soap. I can't handle perfume; it's better if there's a faint scent from like body mist and/or hand cream.
16. Do you hold hands with your right hand? or your left hand?
Left. My right hand is free so that it can protect her in the case something happens! Generally, I make sure to walk on the side of the curb.
17. Which date is your ideal time to have the first kiss?
I prefer the fifth date. It's just a problem of whether the opposing party has the patience or not lol
18. If you were to buy matching items with your girlfriend?
I don't wear a lot of accessories like necklaces and rings, so things like socks is fashionable, no?
19. What's your limit for PDA? (public display of affection)
Only holding hands. Maybe hugging if I tried!
20. What home-made dish would you request for, to the person you like?
Omurice; wanna play with the ketchup (writing messages/names/ drawing pictures etc). I say that but, I prefer mayonnaise and tonkatsu sauce.
21. What home-made dish would you make for the person you like?
Curry. I'd put meat and vegetables in the soup from tonkatsu ramen, and then boil it well with not too much garlic, and then lastly add curry powder into it to make curry.
22. Where do you want to go for the first date?
I want to be guided around Tokyo Skytree.
23. What would you watch if you watched a movie together?
"Spider Man"! If a romance movie was requested, I'd end up saying "watch that at home!" If possible, a girlfriend who likes action movies would be nice.
24. Which area is different when it's a message to your girlfriend?
It's the same for everyone. I only use these two types, ♪ and ☺︎ (smiley face). I don't use emojis when I'm in a bad mood, so I think simple is best.
25. How do you want to be called by your girlfriend?
At first is Mukai-kun, then I'd like for it to gradually change to Koji.
26. Would you introduce your girlfriend to your family?
I would. It's just my mom would get jealous so I'd bring her home on a day my mom's in a good mood.
27. Do you celebrate anniversaries diligently?
Once a year; got to celebrate the day we started going out. And then, maybe each other's birthdays and Christmas. If we celebrate too much, even presents will become tedious.
28. What do you check for when you first go to your girlfriend's house?
Check?! Hmm~ .... I might think "the room is clean~" but it's not really checking. I'd be only thinking about my girlfriend, so checking would be the last thing on my mind!
29. What would be the first birthday present you'd give since starting to date?
Clothes. I'll give her an arrangement of clothes that I want her to wear and clothes that she'd seem to want.
30. Do you give surprises on anniversaries?
Yes! For example, fill the house up with balloons and it'd be fun to play a game of "find the present exchange ticket within the balloons." And then sometimes there'll be order tickets like "give your boyfriend a kiss" in the balloons. I'll record a video of it and we can both enjoy looking back on it often.
31. What do you want your girlfriend to say to you when you're feeling down?
"What do you want to eat?" Her feelings are relayed with just this, so I don't think I'd need comforting words. For example, if I thought the drink I drink daily is out but it's actually restocked in the fridge, it'll be like "she bought it for me ♡"
32. The ideal couple
Instead of being lovey-dovey all the time, a couple that can roast each other but still feel love for each other. We'll be sweet for a third of the time, but it'd be good being able to have normal conversations and joke around too.
33. Your girlfriend is late to the date. How long will you wait?
If there's no prior heads up, then 30mins. If she tells me beforehand, then I'll wait for however long.

I wouldn't ask, and I wouldn't be interested. I don't really like people who tries to talk about it even though I hadn't ask.

Everyday. For starters, good morning in the morning, what did you eat? in the afternoon, and good night at night. I think ten messages in a day is good, no?
36. What would you do if your girlfriend told you, "change your hairstyle/fashion"?
I will not change it! I might change my hair to what she likes, but I have my own preference for clothes so I wouldn't want to change that.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to. I usually wouldn't care but, let's say, if we were meeting just the two of us but she's constantly on her phone in front of me, I'd probably want to say "who are you messaging?"

I'd show her~ I'd even tell her my password and register her fingerprint.
39. If you were to get into a fight with your girlfriend, what would be the number one possible reason?
When she realizes she's 100% in the wrong but isn't honest enough to apologize. If I think I'm in the wrong even the slightest, I apologize immediately. But if I'm not wrong then I'd definitely wouldn't apologize; the silent treatment would probably continue....
40. How do you make-up after a fight?
For starters, I'll say "I wanna make-up~" and try sitting next to her.
41. The one side of yourself you definitely do not want to show your girlfriend
Like when I'm tired from work. It's the same with my mom but I don't talk about work at home so I don't want to show it either.

I'd hate it if she went eating with someone one on one without any explanation and really hate it if she were to hold hands with someone but in the meaning of cheating, probably anything from kissing and onwards.

For example, if I went to eat with someone I'm mildly interested in. I would apologize to my girlfriend because I wouldn't be able to handle the guilt. Thus, while I have a girlfriend, I would not like someone else!

I can tell. Not even just my girlfriend, anyone who lies has a slight change in their behavior like the way they speak or the tone of their voice, so I can tell immediately.

Even if we break up, I want to still be friends so I'd listen if she's worrying about something.

No. I think I'd wear the clothes like usual but my new girlfriend would probably not like it so I definitely would not wear them to a date.

What would it be... I'd go out with guy friends from my hometown and have them listen to everything I have to say.

I think I can go for it, so it'd depend on the other party, no? But I might be shy after not meeting her in awhile lol.
