Well, we didnt make it to State this year. Yesterday was Regionals and we marched and played our very best but didnt make it. I have no regrets though. That was the only time I marched and played really well at the same time. Usually it is one or the other, lol.
It was FREEZING like the north god damn pole there and we almost died. X_x Well, we felt like we almost died. Ian, Jaren, Luke, and I squeezed each other's hands when they were telling us the top five. We squeezed so hard and when they said Gibson (who was after us) we all just let go slowly and put our hands in our laps. We didnt make it. It was so sad. Kristian started bawling and while we were walkign back I saw my dad at his truck and ran to him and cried. I am just glad him and Joyce got to see the show. They said it was dumb that we didnt make it and that they loved the show. A lot of boring shows made it to State. We should have made it!
At least I can get a life now that band is over. I need to get a job. BJ, being the great friend he is, helped me form a plan last night at the Regional Party. We decided that I will try the YMCA, then the cinemas, then the clothing shops by Wally World for jobs. If all else fails I will do fast food. I got two cool little finger puppets at the party too.
A group of us went back to Jaren's house (which was in the same neighborhood as the party) and stayed there. I watched Mistic River in the living room while everyone else was in J's room. Gus and Josh played Magic in the basement. After the movie was over Josh took me home. I didnt even say bye to the others.
Luke was so dissapointed after awards...I never want to see him dissapointed again. He said that was the second time he has ever cried in public. Mike ended up spending the night at my house in my brother's room cause they both got drunk.
