Ahh... This community has been pretty quiet. The X-Men evolution sections on fanfic sites have been to hard to read. They have come to the point many other canceled TV shows have come to, the point where you can't remember what the characters are like anymore. Their personalities are so warped to the point that they are even two demetional than they were before (get it?). But you can't dwell on that for two long or else you will look crazy. And we have the new x-men cartoon to look forward to. What does this all mean you ask? Nothing, im just pissed of at the forums at fanfiction.net. Especialy the ones that give half assed advice. Especialy the ones under X-Men Evolution. ESPECIALY this one (http://www.fanfiction.net/ft/799072/9009/1/) . Well im not really that mad. Background: Emerson had a great life before her parents died when she was 8. She then had to live with her older brother who was later thrown in jail for violent acts against mutants (although he didn't know his sister was one). He was very loving towards her, and she showed no sign that she was a mutant and kept her secret saftely hidden.
Her mutation manifested soon after her parents died, brought on by her grief. They left her and her brother with a great amount of money and so, their life after their death wouldn't be as hard. She was the silent beauty at her school ever since and hung out with the popular crowd, eventhough she never really followed some of the things that they did.
Now, its not that great but its not like the other "her personality is her hair style" stories. She is well adjusted and does not have control of her powers. She also likes crappy music. There might be someting here. So I decide to see what the assoiation of "Rouge" lovers had to say about it. They called her an uber-powerful sue. The people who think characterization if your Logan's daughter or Magneto's daughter said this was a sue. The people who's stories start of by the telling of how the cool kids make fun of them at school because of their stupid hair color said she was to preppy. The people who write a whole chapter about their self made uniform that makes them look like a slut is making fun of the only OC I have seen in two years who understands that you were the training uniform when you join the X-Men! I can't stand it anymore! These people make me crazy. The one well adjusted OC that I wont call a total mary-sue and give her no advice to help her.
