He asks Ms. Munroe if he can use a patch of her gardens, and she happily agrees. She says that in a mansion of sixty you’d expect that there would be at least a few interested gardeners, but aside from a young girl who can make flowers bloom in winter the grounds are hers alone to cultivate.
He never answers directly when people ask him why he only plants blue flowers - chicory, iris, Virginia bluebell. He just smiles and tells them he has a bias. He never mentions the fleeting memory of blue scaled arms, holding him close at night.

There’s been a sudden surge of enrollment in the Friends of Humanity, so Professor Xavier is sending a team to investigate the local chapter. Scott is against it - Scott sometimes seems opposed to sending the team out at all these days - but Ororo is able to talk him around to the idea.
Hank gives Kurt one of the brand new image inducers before they leave. He roles it over in his hands while Hank lectures him about proper care and maintenance, and hates himself for imagining how easy it would be to just slip away with this wonderful holographic mask.

Kurt sings along as best he can, trying to mute his German accent and follow the English hymn’s words . Even so, he can feel some of his fellow parishioners eyeing him, and wonders if any of them will be asking Father Anderson about him after mass. It’s an old worry for him, one that he knows is groundless here but is impossible for him to shake off.
After the service is over, he stays to talk with the priest and some others before leaving. He doesn’t tremble once.
