To Do Masterpost
There's a lot of fic I've wanted to write these past few months, especially since I've discovered memes earlier this year. There's been so many prompts that need filling, but not enough time in the world for me to get to them all, so what I think I'll do is start a To Do list of fic prompts I've wanted to fill and other ideas I've wanted to write. Fedorafic still takes top priority for now, but I'm compiling a list of other works I might start working on on the side. And since none of these stories have been outlined/written/posted/completely posted, the titles, ratings, and pairings are subject to change.

I wanted to fill this. I love unmask fics and wanted to do one myself, but when it was filled, I figured I ought to focus on stories that didn't have fills but... I can't resist. This is next on the list after the fedora verse.

Synopsis: Greta's brother was brought to justice, and she was finally given a proper burial. It doesn't mean she passed on.
Additional notes: My first stab at femslash. I don't see enough of that in this fandom, and I don't know if I've seen any of this particular pairing either, so I wanted to give it a try. It qualifies as slash, right? There's no physical interaction with them. I wanted a platonic sort of romance, focusing more on feelings than lust (not that they're exclusive, but ah.. for obvious reasons, writing plausible sexual intercourse could be kind of challenging).

Title: Blindsided

Synopsis: Wally is blind. Kid Flash is not.

Ended up flipping the prompt, based on what I could logically explain. I couldn't figure out how to plausibly blind Kid Flash and keep Wally able to see. So I switched it so that Wally can't see, Kid Flash can. The lightning damaged the capillaries that feed blood/oxygen into Wally's eyes, creating scarring that thickened the capillaries amd making it more difficult for blood to pass through. It was only enough to sustain the nerves, not to actually give the nerves enough oxygen to provide him with sight. Now, with the human fight-or-flight response, we get a surge of adrenaline and a cocktail of other hormones to support that response, which include the dilation of the irises and constriction of the blood vessels (the constriction allows for higher blood pressure and more blood to pump through at a faster rate, and the more blood that passes through, the more oxygen the body gets). For a normal human, this increased blood flow and oxygen wouldn't be enough to provide sight for someone with the degree of capillary scarring Wally had. However, if a person's biological functions were increased, say, enough to push a kid into superspeed, that'd require a lot of oxygen-enough for a person with Wally's condition to see, perhaps. Thus, Wally is blind, Kid Flash is not. Perfect disguise, am I right? Anyway, never got around to writing this because it didn't completely fit the prompt and it also got its own fill, but I had bought an autobiography by a blind man as research prior to the fill. Don't want to waste that money.

Additional notes: After watching Targets, I was a huge fan of Roy/Jade. Jade is just so... mmmmm. But also, at the time, I was in the middle of writing the fedora fic (still am, of course) and was looking for fic, and everywhere, I would read fic about Wally. Wally and Robin. Robin. Everywhere! And so much whump! And I decided that as much as I loved them, I had to write something else (this was before I decided to write the Artemis+Greta story). And decided to write a fic about Roy being a badass motherfucker on a mission.

Not my happiest story. I had this idea ever since we had the small outbreak of Lian fic and I decided I had to do one myself. The cute was contagious, but this is more than just a kid fic. There'll be more plot and action after the awkward fluff.

Aaaaand that's all for now! There was technically a bunch more, but I've decided to limit it by how many fics I could come up with a name for. Anything else gets lower priority. A bit of a contrary way to choose what makes the to do list, but at least it narrows things down by a lot. The only ones that made it were Young Justice fics, hah.
