You'll find that I fought for the right To laugh with my eyes till tears would fall

lately, i have been hearing so much controversy. about so many topics. i have to write about some, just to feel like a minority, who wants to fix things. i don't know how yet though.

student I.D.s: well, i personally don't like them. there is a strict rule that we must wear them around our neck on lanyards. as long as they are visible, why can't we put them somewhere else? also, they're just around our necks, doing NOTHING. they have no purpose except to say that we are shs students. nobody is going to put money towards their name in the cafeteria. if these cards are going to protect us, then they need to do more. we need to swipe our cards to open the doors. we need to do SOMETHING more with the USELESS cards. a waste of our school's budget money. and the cheapest lanyards ever. amen.

School Shootings: do you know how easily we could have a school shooting at our school? the doors are so easily unlocked. we have teachers as security. old women as security? what are they going to do, beat them down with a purse? the hallways are SO CROWDED. and all the ghetto kids who are still there cause who knows why? there are SO MANY OF THEM. the Amish school shooting FLOORED me. i know amish families who live RIGHT THERE. it just makes me believe even more that the end of the world is rapidly approaching. maybe i won't have kids ... cause then i don't have to worry about them living in this scary society. maybe i'll move to england.

the war in Iraq : my mom and i were discussing this one. i still support the war. i see why we went in there, not only for the oil, but for defense. it was a threat, there was a possibility that they had weapons of mass destruction. why don't we attack n. korea then? well first off, we have before and that war was forgotten. and we support their economy too much. they wouldn't bomb us. and i know the war is like Vietnam ... BUT IT ISN'T. first, vietnam had a draft. therefore, all of the poor people were fighting. think of the ghettos. think of how ghetto people act now. killing and raping is NORMAL there, scary enough as it is. and in war? fear increases everything tenfold. and second, we were dragged into the Vietnam war by france. they asked for our help, then LEFT! we were left to clean up the pieces France left behind. in Iraq, we dragged England in. and now they are being attacked as well as we are. but they also have to deal with the irish who wanted a united ireland. this scares me. if we are fighting about fighting ... our country really has sunk to a low lower than the Great Depression. we have lost the ability to hold our heads high and call ourselves americans. when we didn;t go into Rwanda for the massacre in the 90s, the US was BLAMED FOR NOT DOING ANYTHING. and now we are. and people are complaining. MAKE UP YOUR MINDS. everyone seems to have forgotten how many people Suddam Hussain killed. how many innocent souls were lost. how many civilians woul give up their lives to kill a few americans because they dont believe in our style. if we don't believe in our style, who will? maybe these terrorists are right. maybe we should be all withdrawn, poor and severly religious. maybe we should slap our wives when they don't listen and allow our children to rape inferiors. if you haven't read The Kite Runner, you should read it. its soo amazing and insightful. i think ive written enough here for now.

i feel sad when people aren't proud to be american. they take all of these freedoms for granted. especially the freedom to express opinions openly.

on a lighter note, LOST SEASON PREMIERE!!!!!!!!!

here we go!! found it; its perfect.

Me and all my friends
We're all misunderstood
They say we stand for nothing
There's no way we ever could
Now we see everything is going wrong
With the world and those who lead it
We just feel like we don't have the means
To rise above and beat it

So we keep waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
Its hard to be persistant
When we're standing at a distance
So we keep waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change

Now if we had the power
To bring our neighbors home from war
They would've never missed a Christmas
No more ribbons on the door
When you trust your television
What you get is what you got
Cuz when when they own the information ooohhh,
They can bend it all they want

So while we're waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
It's not that we don't care
We just know that the part ain't fair
So we keep waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change

We're still waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
One day our generation
Is gonna rule the population

So we keep on waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
Know we keep on waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting (waiting)
Waiting on the world to change
Waiting on the world to change
Waiting on the world to change
Waiting on the world to change.
