Last night was the Islington warm up show. I thought it was gonna be hell cos I had the girly cramps but I had some nurofen and me and carina set on our way. Caledonian Road station had to be one of the one's closed from the strike didn't it? Yeah it did. So we had to get off at King's Cross and look for a bus. Seemed none of the buses were going in the direction we needed so we decided to start walking. Walked through the scuminess of most of King's Cross via Pentonville then decided to stop at another bus stop because it soooo cold, luckily the next bus was heading to Caledonian Road so we jumped on that. Met a girl called Carly on the bus who was also heading to the gig so we went the rest of the way with her. She was really nice and is gonna send me some audio of the show.
Got there about 8 and got in the que. We were not at the front of the que but for some reason people were deciding not to sit right at the front near the stage so we managed to sit there. Woot. We sat on the end of the second row, right close we were. They were about a metre away from me the whole time.
The show is so so funny, I don't wanna give too much away though, so I'll just say that they start with a bit of messing about and banter and they do a bit of solo stand up stuff as the character, then duo stand up stuff in charcter and then they introduce the people who'll be in the show who also have some banter and by the time all the banter is done it's half way and we get a break from the lung failure. That's when I went to the loo and saw Julia Davis. I wanted to say something to her but I couldn't. Only said about 6 words to her which were "no, I'm not in the que" She's so small and lovely.
Then the second half started and the main show kicks in. It's such a big mish mash of pure funnyness, it's bits from all episodes making up one huge story. I can't wait till it's all smoothed over for the main shows. But then the messing up is great too. Hmm.
I took so many pictures on my dodgy camera phone that the memory got very low and the pictures started to get smaller as the night went on.
Have a looky here for pictures, all in order:

:D The little clip I will treasure forever:

Sod walking through Pentonville at midnight. So it'll have to be another time I meet them. Shame.
Cannot WAIT untill February.
