i try and do everything that i can to make you guys happy but it never fails that its not good enough. nothing is ever good enough for you guys. like this past week i stayed home with my brother because dad had his stupid bat

Dear Nikki,
Things will get better, and although it doesnt seem like it..and when you and your parents fight they make it seem like that arent proud of you im sure they are. Also in som crazy and twisted way im sure they mean well. Since we are still teenagers we dont understand how they think..maybe one day we will understand. But i want you to know that even though im not your parent and it may not feel the same I AM PROUD OF YOU. i am so proud of the person you are. You try so hard to make people happy, and always be helpful. Dont let them get to you, like you said you are 17 and i can bet that they are scared of letting go..i feel it happening in this household too. You said you friends families all seem happy..but at the core, every family has their problems..there is no such thing as a perfect family..so dont worry you arent alone. Also "you cant pick your family..but you can pick your friends" so just remember the friends you have picked will ALWAYS love you and ALWAYS be there for you and ALWAYS be proud of you, myself included. Also remember that "Your imperfections are what make you beautiful" And also that "The person you're constantly comparing yourself to doesn't exist. You do, and you're beautiful" (( yess i pulled that right out of my entry for tonight..but it fits here too <333)) Nikki you are wonderful..dont let your parents make you think otherwise. You will go so far in life and do amazing things..Just keep your head held high and in the end you will accomplish anything you want to accompish. I love you so much.<33
