So I've realized that it's been just a few months shy of a year since I first watched a Who ep. Naturally I've seen New Who, but I've been slacking a bit on getting my classic on--or I'll start an arc and wander off, or rely on wiki to tell me what happens so I can move on to the more fun bits rather than finishing

As for dear old Four... I have a strange dislike of him. I think dislike is not the right word...

I find it intriguing though, because I *think* he's genuinely one of my least favourite Doctors, objectively speaking, but can't really swear to it that I'm not being unduly influenced (by comparative lack of the Master, among other vital considerations, perhaps)

Wow, exactly how I feel. And it doesn't help for me that he's Three's replacement. I don't know if I'm being unfair to Four b/c he's hard to slash and Not Three or if it's just that his kind of emotionally detached super-confidence grates on me and makes him hard to empathize with/become attached to? I like his companions (although--and god, fandom would hate me for this--I don't love Romana? She's fine, but she doesn't do a ton for me?), but his specific relationships with them have yet to really compel me. And I like some of his stories, but there;s something about him that just doesn't flip my Immediate Love switch?
