Kagrra Disbanding - No cut, they deserve a whole page.
I'm sad.
What can I say? They're 10 years old and I've know them for 8. They have been with me for about 1/3 of my life.
I remember a friend introduced them to me when they were just starting to crawl, not even really known by people outside the visual kei scene in Japan. And I loved them on the spot. I've watched their first DVD a thousand times and got the next ones as soon as they were out.
I just don't know what to say and, at the same time, I have so many words stuck in my throat.
Their music moved me to tears many times and made me smile so many others. They have one of the most beautiful visual in general. They even have the best cd covers. They're really musicians, artists, careful and attentive to details in everything they do.
Isshi made me go speachless so many times, his voice is beautiful and unique. I love his solos and I cried in each and every single one of them. He's nice too, he even smiled and exchanged a few words with us on the Meet&Greet last year. And he spoke portuguese to us =)
I have such good memories.
I'm biased towards Isshi, but Izumi, Shin, Akiya and Nao deserve my praise as well.
And Shin, he deserves it double because I'm insane about the koto.
You know, even all this halyu wave started and I went bonkers for Super Junior and Shinee, Kagrra has been the only constant on my Ipod. I never go anywhere without their music and I even carry some of their PV's because they are just so heartbreakingly beautiful. I showed them around constantly =/
It has been incredible 10 years. Even if I have tears in my eyes right now, I wish the best for all of them. At least I think I'm really lucky to have seen them live, as a VIP, from the very first line. And I got their autographs too, so at least I have something a little more personal to get me going.
But really? I'm sad.
ps: If you don't know any of their music, here is a link to Utakata. It's my favorite music of all times. I remember very well the tears I (and everyone else) shed watching this live. But yeah. Watch it, I really like how it's so subtle about the seasons.
