Synopsis: “Sunshines are not meant to be so sad Kyuhyun-ah.”

It had been an accident. Certainly not a mistake, but the fact that some random day around 'Sorry Sorry' promotions held a stunned Kyuhyun sitting in his leader's room while holding a positive pregnancy test, was definitely an accident.

It would be okay if it was Ryeowook's, who would be smiling shyly, thinking about small hands and feet. Or maybe Sungmin's, who would be all to happy to dress the baby in pink, no matter the sex. He was not bothered by little details like these. Even better, it could be Leeteuk's, who had been trying for more then a year, and then there would be laughter, happy tears and Kangin's bears hugs.

But it was his. It was Kyuhyun's. His own pink cross, quickly laid down beside all the others, a line of white sticks almost the length of his leg.

He sighed, grabbing his second bottle of soda from the floor and taking a sip. He felt like he had peed half his weight in liquids already.

Kyuhyun was just tearing the last test box open with his teeth when Leeteuk entered the room.

"What are you doing?!" The leader looked around at the mess in his room, what looked like thousands of white cardbox pieces littering the floor, mixed with bottle caps and a pair of washed-out jeans. Kyuhyun was sitting in the middle of it, wearing just his shorts and a panda shirt. He even had the audacity of looking annoyed at the interruption.

"I'm testing, and you're interrupting me." His expression was solemn for a moment, before looking down at his box, all but ignoring Leeteuk.
The leader walked closer, looking down with a wary eye. Those looked suspiciously like...

"Oh my God! You're pregnant! When did you get pregnant!? Are those even yours!?" He kneeled to take a closer look, grabbing some sticks from the ground. Maybe if he looked until he was cross-eyed, the result would change.

"What!? No, I'm not! These tests are faulty! I don't know why you buy such bad quality stuff. They don't work! See?" He grabbed a few of the sticks and waved them in front of the leader's face. "They're saying it's positive. It's obviously not working." Kyuhyun got up and made a walk to the bathroom with the last test in hand, mumbling to himself. " I should call the company about those, they can scare someone to death. How can they be so..."

Leeteuk shook his head sighed, plopping down on the hard wood floor.

"I will wait for you here."

"Yeah, ok hyung." Kyuhyun barely acknowledged him, locking himself into the bathroom.

Almost five minutes later Kyuhyun peeked out, hiding most of himself behind the door. From what he could see, Leeteuk thought he looked much more lucid now.

"Hyung... The tests are not faulty, are they?" His voice was small and uncertain, so unlike the normal snarky magnae. It worried Leeteuk to no end.

"I... I don't think so Kyuhyunnie..." Leeteuk got up and walked to the door, gently pushing it open and tugging the still form to sit on his bed. He caressed the hair that was covering dry, unblinking eyes.

"ZhouMi was here last month, right?"

Kyuhyun nodded slowly.

"For two weeks?"

Another nod.

“And just to see you. Do you think...?”

Kyuhyun let out a shaky sigh and stood up, his back to the leader. He rested his head on his hands for a moment.

“Kyuhyun ah...?”

The magnae just shook his head, gathering his pants from the floor and walking to the door.

“Do you want it?”

Kyuhyun stopped mid-step, but didn't turn around to look at him. There was sorrow in his leader's voice and, in that moment, the magnae could not bear anyone's feeling but his own.

“I don't know.”

And then Kyuhyun's adventure began.

-

Kyuhyun played even more games now. He would go to his schedule quiet and come back basically mute, always glued to a PSP or some other console, no matter what. His phone was always forgotten on the bedside table.

“Kyuhyunnie, ZhouMi called you like 20 times since yesterday.” Sungmin tentatively walked to the magnae's side, poking his ribs with the tip of his phone.

“Ouch, stop it hyung. It's okay.” He grabbed the device and laid it down on the mattress, beside him. “I will call him in a minute.” And unpaused his game.

“Kyuhyun.”

“I know! I will! Just one more level, okay?” the magnae grabbed his phone and PSP and walked out of the room.

“Don't forget it! There's only so many times I can listen to 'You&Me! It was cute only on the first one hundred times!”

“I know!!!!” Kyuhyun poked his head inside just to make a point and went out again.

His plans to find some peace on the living room were spoiled by the grand entrance of Heechul and his two mini-me's.

“Yah oppa! What are you playing!?” Dao-Ming jumped on the couch, kneeing his thigh in her haste. SangHee was glued to her mother's skinny leg, sobbing and whining.

Kyuhyun felt his world swing off center and his lunch threat to come back as he witnessed just what waited for him: Heechul took his girl by the arms and tried to make her listen to no avail. SangHee just threw herself on the ground while crying several decibels higher, squirming and trashing like a fish out of water.

“SangHee, stop it! Daddy said no, I said no, so that means no.”

The little girl started to yell at the top of her lungs and actually sank her nails on Heechul's arm in rage.

“Acting like a crazed cat won't make me change my mind. Quiet and behave!” He almost had to drag her to the kitchen, where she was to sit on a chair all alone for a few minutes. Kyuhyun knew it, he had seen it before and it never bothered him. Sanghee was as strong-willed as her mother and that lead to many time-outs. Nothing new.

The reason why his lunch actually did come up to say hello was beyond him.

-

“Pregnant.”

“I'm not! Stop it!” Denying it meant he didn't have to deal with it.

“You're puking your guts out, Leeteuk has been even more emo then normal and he's back to babying you as if you're four.” Heechul was leaning on the wall of the bathroom, carrying a forgiven and sleepy SangHee. “Oh yeah. And most important, ZhouMi called one hour ago in tears because you won't pick up his calls.”

“What?” Kyuhyun meant to stay quiet and act cool, but the mention of ZhouMi and tears in the same sentence yanked the reaction out of him. Guilt pooled heavy on his stomach.

Dao-Ming ran by with his PSP in her hands, being chased by a laughing Eunhyuk. Kyuhyun didn't even care. He could scarcely breathe now.

“Go away Heechul-hyung. You don't even live here.” The magnae tried to get up, his shaky legs almost failing him. He had to call him. Right now.

Heechul did leave, but his last sentence echoed inside Kyuhyun's head until he had enough courage to finally press the call button.

“Sunshines are not meant to be so sad Kyuhyun-ah.”

-

Kyuhyun squirmed in his seat. He had persuaded management to believe he absolutely needed a break before they started on Super Show 2 and even crazier schedules got a hold of all of them. And that meant he was now sitting on a plane, just landing in Beijing.

The magnae squeezed the package on his lap as the people around him started to get up. That was it. After assuring ZhouMi he was not breaking up with him, he was welcomed to spend his meager three days of break in his house.

They had been attracted to each other from the beginning, since ZhouMi's time in Korea as a trainee. Their first kiss was not even one week in the promotions for Super Junior M's first album. That had been one year and two months ago. Certainly, for Kyuhyun, not enough time to be in his condition.

“Sir, we're here”

A gentle female voice woke him up from his reverie as he looked around to find out he was alone in the plane. Bowing his thanks and hiding his blush, he left the cabin quickly.

Kyuhyun hurried past the luggage, clutching his backpack and tugging his cap lower over his face. He also added a mask, just to be sure.

ZhouMi was easy to spot, arms crossed and speaking gently to a small woman beside him. Kyuhyun stopped on his tracks for a little bit. His mother. ZhouMi's mother. He knew her, she loved him and treated him like a son. And yet, he was ready to thrust the package in his boyfriend's hand and, depending on his reaction, get in the first plane back home. That changed his plans quite a little bit.

“Oh Kuixian!” ZhouMi's mother almost squealed, being the first to see him, and he didn't have the heart to tell her to be quiet.

Kyuhyun tore his mask off and power walked to the small woman, who was holding her arms open. She squeezed him and he couldn't help but to smile.

He had just said his greetings in an out-of-practice Chinese when she patted his cheek and launched a fast ramble of words where he only caught 'pretty' and 'skinny'.

“Mama.” ZhouMi's voice sent a spark of happiness and pure pleasure down Kyuhyun's spine. He looked up and was soon enveloped in the well-known arms, his scent immediately shooting his troubled heart.

At least for now, Kyuhyun closed his eyes and enjoyed being loved.

-

They were out for lunch, pie and some sightseeing before he even had the chance to kiss ZhouMi properly. Now that he was here, his resolve had gone down the drain. He had clutched to the large hand all day and now left out a low moan as they parted from their first real kiss of the day.

He was sure he looked debauched, lips red and abused from the longest kiss in his life and cheeks burning from arousal. He could feel it twisting in his belly and he was sure ZhouMi could feel it too, laying down on top of him like that.

Kyuhyun lifted a leg and wound it around ZhouMi's hip, who smiled and nibbled his neck.

“So...” The magnae moaned when a thigh was thrust against his crotch. “I hope you have a lock on this door.” He tossed his head back and fisted a hand on the sheets.

His response was a naughty hand undoing his belt. He forgot all his worries then, mind only filled with “Oh's” and “Like that's”.

-

“You're worried.” ZhouMi tugged at his earlobe, hand going up to swept sweaty hair from his eyes.

“Am not.” He mumbled, cuddling closer and sniffing the fragrant skin of the other's neck.

ZhouMi sighed and threw a leg over his hip, bringing Kyuhyun as close as possible. “The lack of a snarky response just proved my point.” He kissed the abused ear. “You've been awfully quiet too, and in your best behavior. You and mother together are usually hell bent in making my life as embarrassing as possible. She has been asking me if you're sick all day.”

Kyuhyun sighed and sat up, rubbing his tired face with a hand. He had been postponing this, telling himself to enjoy one more hour with ZhouMi before he freaked out. But now there was nowhere to run, he was trapped. It was time.

“Kuixian?” ZhouMi caressed his arm, looking up worriedly.

“I should kick you where it hurts, but here I am, shaking in fear instead.”

That was a lot to admit for his Kuixian and that made ZhouMi sit up too, a tense expression taking place.

“What's wrong Kuixian?”

The magnae just reached inside his bag and took out a badly wrapped box, tossing it on ZhouMi's lap. He got up and slid inside his boxers swiftly.

“What's that?” ZhouMi fingered the box carefully, as if it was suddenly going to blow up on his face. You never knew when you dated Kuixian.

Kyuhyun tried to be serious about it, but the nervousness was just waking up that slightly evil side of him, who rejoiced on a bad-timed prank.

“I caught you cheating. That's the evidence.” He pointed to the box and crossed his arms, lifting a brow. He tried to keep a straight face as ZhouMi sputtered and got up, ignoring the fact that he was naked.

“I-I-I did not! What-! How-! What the fuck?”

Kyuhyun failed and snickered, ZhouMi's shoulders quickly sagging with relief.

“Don't do that again! M-M-My heart, it hurts... You so evil..” Kyuhyun sank to his knees now, laughing until he couldn't breathe. ZhouMi's Korean deteriorated dramatically when he was that nervous.

ZhouMi sat down on the bed with a pout and tore into the gift. Kyuhyun just appreciated the sight of him on his birthday suit and ignored the nervous nausea on his stomach.

ZhouMi took the pair of tiny white knitted shoes from the box and held it in front of his eyes. They fit on the palm of his hand. He then blinked and looked at Kyuhyun with wide eyes.

“What?” ZhouMi squeaked unintelligently.

The magnae sighed and rolled his eyes. “I'm never listening to Heechul-hyung again, he said you were smart.”

-

The relief that had coursed through Kyuhyun at ZhouMi's embrace made him boneless. He felt tears prickle at his eyes, but valiantly kept them in. He choose to smack ZhouMi's head instead when he heard a sniffle.

They told the news to ZhouMi parents’ on his last night in China and had been rewarded with a banquet of epic proportions. By the time he was uncomfortably full the food didn't even seem touched yet.

Before boarding on the plane back home, his 'mama', as she insisted in being called, presented him and ZhouMi with a very small golden bracelet.

“It was ZhouMi's. I want you to keep it.”

Kyuhyun smiled and accepted the gift and the amicable pat on the back from ZhouMi's father. He may not understand every word but, as ZhouMi's mother patted his head and ZhouMi kissed his forehead, he felt like he understood what mattered.

-

Kyuhyun blinked his dry, achy eyes in the darkness. Munhee was crying again. He could hear it as though the baby was beside his bed, not one floor down.

Munhee was almost two months old, but it was still weird to see Taemin prancing around with a blue squirming bundle in his arms. Or watching while Minho ignored his hyungs in favor of feeding a warm bottle to his little wide-eyed boy.

They were so young and yet, if they ever fumbled around without knowing what to do, he had never seen it. Naturals, he was sure. There was no other explanation. Heechul-hyung had been calling his mother nonstop for the first six months with the girls.

“Oh my God. Why won’t this kid stop crying?” Kyuhyun turned on his bed to watch, what he could see of, Sungmin hide under the covers. He was talking before he could control himself.

“I think he's down with a cold. Probably has a clogged nose or maybe it's a little bit of nausea. They should give him warm tea.” He fingered the parenting book under his pillow and struggled to remember everything.

Sungmin slowly lifted his head, hair flying in all directions. “Kyu... Why do you know all this?”

“What!?” He squeaked, much like ZhouMi when he heard the news.

“Actually, why are you throwing up one hour and eating like Hyukjae the next?” He was slowly leaving his bed, crawling into Kyuhyun’s like a predator, smirk in place. “Or maybe, why are you all love-dovey with ZhouMi on the phone when you think no one is looking? That's not you.”

“Mep.” Kyuhyun twitched, being caught red handed. A brief scuffle later and Sungmin was standing up on his mattress, trying to read the title of the book he had smuggled from under his dongsaeng's pillow.

“Parenting for dummies?” Sungmin looked at him with his mouth wide open. Kyuhyun felt his cheeks burn and decided he was blushing way too much lately. Time to bring old Kyuhyun back.

He turned, facing the wall and kicked his hyung clean out of the bed. He smirked at the satisfying thud and groan.

“ZhouMi is moving in next month, you better find someone else to share a room with.”

-

It was a little crowded, with one more body in the dorm, but Kyuhyun couldn't complain. He could now wake up warm and fuzzy, ZhouMi wound around him like a vice.

Sungmin was rooming with Yesung and Ryeowook, under the management's promise to relocate all of them soon enough.

ZhouMi had arrived the day before, lots of luggage and a worried frown on his face. It was, after all, a big change for him. Kyuhyun smothered his forehead with well-placed kisses and a soft murmur that got all of Super Junior ( minus Leeteuk, Sungmin and Heechul ) looking at him as if he had grown a very ugly second head.

“What!?” He snapped at them and dragged ZhouMi to the van by the hand.

-

Kyuhyun tells his bandmates in the most Evil!Kyu fashion possible. He waits for a time in the morning when most of his hyungs are sipping at their coffee and drops the bomb.

“I'm pregnant.” He's happy he had the presence of mind to get up from the table and tell them by the safety of the counter. He snickers at the whining ZhouMi, who's holding his previously pristine white shirt away from his body.

Heechul, one of the only who had not been drinking anything at the time, smirked and just then sipped from his cup. “You're evil again.” He arched a perfect eyebrow. “Welcome back.”

-

SM added Henry and ZhouMi to the original formation. They were now officially 15. It was coming out, eventually, the reason for this change. ZhouMi refused to go back to China and leave Kyuhyun alone and the magnae's skinny pants were starting to get too tight.

Kyuhyun worried, Heechul got round and unbalanced much faster. He was already obvious at 3 months. But then again, it had been two babies. The doctor assured him that he only had one inside him. And in one month they would know the sex. It thrilled and scared him at the same time.

It was finally getting real.

-

One afternoon found Kyuhyun kneeling on the floor of Shinee's dorm, trying to change a fumbling Munhee. He was quickly getting frustrated at how Taemin would reach for his hands all the time and correct his actions.

“Gah! I can't do it!”

“I'm sorry hyung, Im just trying to help.” Taemin kneeled on his spot when Kyuhyun got up and finished the job with expert hands.

Kyuhyun sulked for a minute, sitting down on the couch and poking at his protruding belly. “Sorry Taemin.” He sighed,

The younger boy nodded, handing a changed Munhee to him. “It's okay, just don't give up so easily hyung. It's not that hard.”

The boy left them to warm a bottle and Kyuhyun finally looked down at the baby. Big eyes, dark hair, tiny fists. He couldn't hold a smile threatening to break his face in half at the big yawn that left Munhee's mouth.

Kyuhyun lifted a hand and let the baby grab his finger, which he promptly cuddled near his neck. He let out a little laugh and tapped the tip of said finger against the small button nose. “You're so cute Munhee-ah. You're the cutest baby on earth.”

He didn't even realize he was talking in a baby voice until he heard Taemin's giggle from the door. He froze.

“Don't worry hyung. No one will ever hear a single word about that from me.”

Kyuhyun blushed.

-

Kyuhyun considered himself lucky for having few symptoms. Of course, there was the pachydermic hunger and some throwing up, but no specific weird wishes had made themselves known yet. Heechul had made Hankyung go out every night for some nauseating combination of Oreo cookies and tomato sauce, crying a river when the Chinaman refused. Kyuhyun still preferred his cookies au natural.

And then, on a normal day, without any warning, it just happened. The worst of the symptoms pregnancy could ever present to him, someone who took pride in not even feeling a twinge of sympathy while most were crying their eyes out at some romance on TV. He was just not a romantic guy.

Kyuhyun and ZhouMi had been teasing each other all day, naughty hands pulling hair, poking and tickling when they thought no one would notice. They even snuck in a back hug or two. It was an old game. Later that week, they would scan youtube for fancams and laugh at the fan’s speculations. Except, the playful touches were now making Kyuhyun horny. That, most of the time, was a welcomed side-effect of being knocked-up.

Kyuhyun had woken up painfully hard that morning and shaken ZhouMi awake until he was aware enough to do something about it. It had been slow, good and completely normal. They were both satisfied and that was it. They had kissed afterwards, exchanged 'Good mornings' and “I love you's” and showered to leave for their schedules.

Morning sex was good, because they both knew they would probably just pass out when they got home.

But, after a long day full of fleeting touches and shining smiles, Kyuhyun all but threw ZhouMi inside the bedroom, locking the door behind him. He got wide eyes in response and feared, for a second, that the other man was not in the mood. He was proven wrong by soon enough being on his hands and knees, ZhouMi all but growling beside his ear.

They had not bothered with clothes, only shedding Kyuhyun's pants and working on ZhouMi's zipper. They clung to the sheets and tried to control their moans, working together for the ultimate goal.

Kyuhyun came first, spilling on ZhouMi's hand. He reached a hand behind himself and caressed the other's hair while he worked through the last thrusts and let out a strangled moan at the end.

All was well, Kyuhyun got what he wanted and ZhouMi was far away from complaining. And yet, as the Chinese man nuzzled Kyuhyun's nape and muttered “Love you so much, Kui Xian,” he felt tears come to his eyes. And that was just wrong.

A sob he couldn't control escaped from his mouth.

“”Kui Xian?” ZhouMi's voice was alarmed, his body tensing. He quickly pulled out as Kyuhyun let out another sob. “Kui Xian, what's wrong? Did I hurt you?”

Kyuhyun tried to answer and was horrified at how his throat closed, tears finally cascading down his face. He shook his head and plopped down on the mattress, bringing up an irritated hand to wipe the tears away. “I'm-I'm okay.”

And he was. He was truly fine. Nothing hurt at all. He was sated, the sex had been as good as a quickie could be and he specially enjoyed that position, it was one of his favorites. There was no explanation as to why he was suddenly crying as if someone kicked his puppy.

ZhouMi was clearly distressed, looking around the room as if he could find an explanation laying around on floor. He settled for hugging Kyuhyun close to his chest. “Kuixian... Kuixian? Meili, honey, Kyu buns~ what's wrong?”

Kyuhyun tried to snort at the nicknames, but ended up sobbing yet again. How he could explain that there was no explanation!? He felt happy that ZhouMi loved him, yes, but it had never reduced him to tears before.

“Love you too, Mimi.” He buried his face on ZhouMi's sweater and tried to will his tear ducts to dry. It was not that he never said it, but he was already comfortable with the concept. He was just not over-emotional about it. Especially not after a round of very rough and quick sex.

Mood swings. Kyuhyun sent an eyeroll to the gods.

-

The mood swings ended up being thankfully rare. Kyuhyun cried while watching a cooking show ( ''That poor lobster! What a horrible way to die!' ), but ZhouMi held him close through every step of the way. Even that one time he accused ZhouMi of calling him fat and made him sleep on the couch.

“Told ya.” Hankyung munched on his apple, leaning on the door's frame. He looked amused at how a disgruntled ZhouMi tried to fit on the two-seats couch.

“Shut up.”

-

The day they find out it's a girl is the same day that SM slyly lets the news leak. They are prepared though, with a hundred memorized answers, all rehearsed with management. There would be no surprises.

The reactions are mixed. Most of the fans are happy, but there were some cruel threads on the internet. Kyuhyun sighed and tried to keep ZhouMi away from it to the best of his ability. There were some people still not used to the idea of them not being 13 anymore.

“It's a girl. I can't believe it's a girl.” ZhouMi lay half on top of Kyuhyun's legs after a long day of interviews, caressing his belly. If he smiled any wider, he would surely split his face in half.

“Yes it is. Were you hoping for a boy?” Kyuhyun lifted a lazy hand and intertwined it with the one on his stomach.

“No! But it's a girl Kuixian!” He dropped a kiss to the bulge.

“Yes. And you're not making any sense. I bet you would be like this even if it was a two-headed cyclops alien with a machine gun.” He tugged on the silky hair and brought ZhouMi's mouth closer for his kissing pleasure.

“Hmm... You're so amazing KuiXian.” He dropped another peck to the waiting lips, the smile making his way into his lips yet again. “But you're playing too much video games again, there was no way he would come up with a machine gun. A handgun, at most.”

Kyuhyun let out a long suffering sigh and just tugged ZhouMi closer.

-

When Kyuhyun was just barely 5 months along, there was no hiding anymore. His stomach was finally showing and his back was starting to bother him. All he wanted was a hole to hide into when, in the final fitting for Super Show 2, his outfit didn't fit anymore.

They found him another pair of pants soon and bought a shirt one size bigger. No worries there, he performed with everyone else, keeping the dancing to a minimal. No use in trying to be sexy while feeling like and an overstuffed Christmas turk.

-

They had some trouble at the first stop after Seoul, in Hong Kong.

“I'm not coming out. You can go and do this without me.” Kyuhyun's voice resonated, serious, from behind the closed door of the restroom.

“Oh Kuixian. Come on, there's nothing to be ashamed of.” ZhouMi tried the handle once more, to the same result.

“Not coming out! Go away! You're the reason I'm like this!” There was a bang on the other side, certainly caused by a kick.

ZhouMi sighed and looked around the room for help. Sungmin, who was coming in the dressing room, turned back out. Eunhyuk suddenly got in a game with Donghae to see who could lick his own elbow. Hankyung was tending to Dao-Ming's scrapped knee. Everyone just seemed busy with something.

“Ok, Seasoning. Back out.” ZhouMi sighed, that was not what he was waiting for. If Heechul made Kyuhyun even more moody, there would be no show tonight. He could already hear the fan's rage.

“Heechul-hyung, I don't think that you should-”

“Shut it, Seasoning, I know exactly what I'm doing.” Heechul snatched a pin from a dresser and picked the lock with ultimate ease. With a wink to the room in general, he went inside and closed the door.

Kyuhyun came out minutes after, followed by Heechul, who had a smug smile on his face. As he grabbed his microphone, everyone started to move and stood on a line, ready to enter the stage.

As the countdown started, ZhouMi still had no idea of what had triggered the outburst. It could be anything at this point, from soggy wet socks to losing a game. Anyway, the best remedy was to cuddle Kyuhyun close and show him he was loved regardless.

As he did just that, nuzzling his head on the other's neck. Placing his hands at Kyuhyun's hips, he found out just why.

Under the pad of his fingers, ZhouMi could feel the ridges of an elastic band. No more buttons and zippers for Kyuhyun. He laughed, hugging Kyuhyun's body close to his and turning the dark head around so he could kiss pouting lips.

“Silly, silly KuiXian~”

-

At Kyuhyun's sixth month, ZhouMi found out that they had to maneuver quite a bit more to get things done.

In bed was not a problem, as the quite inventive positions they got from the internet revealed spots they didn't even knew they had. They have even made a compromise to try some of them without the belly in the way, later that year.

In every other mundane action of the day, all that... 'maneuvering' wasn't quite as welcomed.

Kyuhyun grumbled when he found out that cuddling in the couch was not an option anymore. They didn't fit. They couldn't hug face to face either, the distance his stomach caused between them was just not acceptable. He quickly banned stairs and shoes with laces too.

And then there was the issue of sitting. Well, not so much sitting as standing up. He learned that the hard way.

-

There was no room in the couch anymore, Hankyung had slid in a deep sleep earlier that day, with Dao-Ming and SangHee sprawled on top of him. Kyuhyun considered waking him up and sending him upstairs to his wife, but the bags under his closed eyes prevented him. He resigned to sit on the floor, Wii control in his hand.

He played for almost two hours, the TV on mute. SangHee had actually gotten up for the bathroom, but was quick to settle on top of her father again and pass out. He was glad he would not spend the night near the two well-rested hurricanes.

When he was closing in on the third hour, his behind started to ache. So he reached for a pillow, sat on top of it and ignored anything and anyone. He just kept killing ghosts.

“KuiXian? Are you coming to bed?” A sleepy ZhouMi poked his head on the living room, hair askew and with no glasses.

Oh. Had he really been playing for all that time?

“Yeah, sure. Just let me find a savepoint.”

ZhouMi nodded and went back to their room, rubbing tired eyes.

Kyuhyun sighed and stretched his legs, cracking some joints. Leaving the Wii Control on the ground, he pushed up with the heels of his hands. Nothing happened.

“What the hell...” Kyuhyun tried again, this time doing some serious effort to lift his hips from the ground. He ended up with his hips in the air and no strength or arm length to push any further.

The third try was made using the couch to push himself up. Somehow his belly went up first, arching his back and leaving him with the same problem as before. As he sat back down, there was already some sweat collecting on his forehead.

“This is ridiculous...” Kyuhyun muttered and groaned to himself. No matter what he tried, his beach ball stomach would go up first and prevent everything else from following.

“Shit... I can't believe I'm doing this.” Without any other idea and no intention of ever asking for help, Kyuhyun had only one option left: Trying that stupid position he had caught Heechul in all those years ago.

Oh, he was so not amused.

Twisting around so he was on his knees, Kyuhyun looked around to be sure everyone was out of the room or deep asleep. Satisfied that his research came back with 100% positive results, he placed both palms on the floor and unfolded his knees. Yes! With his bottom in the air, all that he needed now was to grab the couch and then unfold himself. If he only managed to stop grunting and huffing, he would be up in no time.

“Payback is a bitch, hm?” A camera snap went off right behind him. “This nice view is going to my cyworld~~”

Kyuhyun pushed up so fast at Heechul's voice that he heard his back crack.

-

Kyuhyun felt that twisted muscle on his back to the very end of his pregnancy. Which, actually, didn't last much longer.

-

Kyuhyun had slept all day. It was already five in the afternoon and he was still in dreamland.

“Kui Xian, don't you want to anything to eat? Or maybe we could go for a walk or play video games?” ZhouMi sat beside the slumbering form and tried so shake him softly.

“No, no and no. You can't play anyway.” Kyuhyun tugged the covers from under ZhouMi and threw them over his head.

“Kui Xian, I'm worried. Are you feeling well? Maybe I should call the doctor.” The Chinese man was already getting up when Kyuhyun sighed and turned around to look at him.

“I'm fine. Really.” He reached up and kissed ZhouMi's lips. “It's our day off, lemme sleep okay? I'll be up in an hour.”

He wasn't. ZhouMi fed him some rice and soup and resigned to lie down next to him. If Kyuhyun was not up by the morning, he was calling the doctor no matter what.

-

At 4AM Kyuhyun woke up with his bladder screaming. He needed to go so much that he was up in a flash, faster then he had been able for months. He danced the mambo all the way to the bathroom and still barely reached it in time.

As he left, he had to stop and take a minute to massage his poor abused bladder, sagging in relief.

“OH SHIT! Gah!” Yesung jumped back from where he was leaving his room, almost falling down. “Kyuhyun!?”

“Yesung-hyung?” He had actually jumped at the outburst too.

“What are you doing, standing there like a ghost? Aish! I almost peed my pants.” He made to rush past Kyuhyun, but was suddenly on the floor.

“Omo! Ew! Kyuhyun! If you had to go so much you could have told me!” Yesung was flat on the floor, holding his hurting head, the back of his pajamas all wet.

“What the hell hyung! Of course I didn't! I just went to the bathroom ten seconds ago.”

It took a full minute for Kyuhyun to realize all that water on the floor was coming from him. His jaw went slack.

“Well, then you're leaking.” Yesung tried to get up and slid on the water again, banging his left knee. “Ouch, dammit! Wait. Why are you leaking?”

Kyuhyun just looked at him, no words forming on his gaping mouth.

“What 's going on? Yesung-hyung, stop yelling and come back to bed.” Ryeowook's voice floated from the bedroom.

“Kyuhyunnie's leaking!” Yesung pointed to him as if Ryeowook could see.

“I'm not -leaking-! Stop it!” Kyuhyun hissed, clutching the legs of his pants helplessly. He was not ready, this should not be happening. He just kept watching as the water pooled around his feet.

“What going o- Oh! Kyuhyunnie! I'm going to wake up the others.” Ryeowook just needed a glance to work out what was going on.

Kyuhyun didn't acknowledge the rest of Super Junior slowly flocking into the corridor. It was ZhouMi who took him out of his daze, tip-toeing around the puddle and gently pushing him in the shower.

As ZhouMi was toweling him dry, he felt the first bout of pain. It was slight, but the surprise made him clutch the other's shoulder all the same.

“You're okay Kui Xian?” ZhouMi's voice was low and breathy and his eyes wide, as if he couldn't believe what he had just witnessed.

“Yes. No. I don't know.” Kyuhyun shook his head and held the Chinese close. He gulped and looked up, heart galloping. “It's way too soon.”

“I know.”

-

And it was. Way, way too soon.

They had called the Kyuhyun's doctor and rushed to the hospital. Even then, they barely made it, Chae Rin was born ten minutes after they reached the E.R. No grueling 23 hours of labor like it was for Heechul. There would have been jokes if it wasn't for the fact that she was born still and silent.

ZhouMi didn't cut the cord, there was no time. The obstetrician was fast to take his tiny blue baby to the corner with a pack of nurses dancing around him.

“ZhouMi...” Kyuhyun sobbed, but kept his eyes glued to a spot on the ceiling. He tried to keep an even expression, but the thin shaking line of his sealed shut mouth was obvious.

ZhouMi kissed a tear track away and hid his face in Kyuhyun's sweaty neck. He then started to repeat his mantra. “Don't worry Kui Xian, she's going to cry at any second now. Any second. Don't worry.”

She didn't, for the longest time.

-

Chae Rin was very premature, her lungs weren't fully formed yet. She was kept on an incubator and all Kyuhyun and ZhouMi could do was to reach for her through the holes on the sides. It was barely enough, but it kept them going.

“I don't really feel like a parent yet... Is this my baby? It's like playing with dolls.” Kyuhyun wondered out loud, a finger gently caressing the small bud lips. “She's so tiny.”

ZhouMi nodded, his big hand looking so gigantic near Chae Rin that he was afraid to break her. “She's beautiful, and has your ears. You did a wonderful job Kui Xian.” He tweaked the delicate skin.

“Hn. Let's hope she has your skin.” Kyuhyun felt his usual smirk trying to surface, but a look at all the tubes marking his girl's skin made him somber once again. He feather-touched near the one up her nose. “This is so fucked-up. I'm sorry.”

ZhouMi turned to look at him so fast they could hear a joint crack.

“Don't apologize for something you have no power over, Kui Xian.”

Kyuhyun shook his head and grabbed Chae Rin's little foot softly. His voice was barely a whisper now.

“I could have done better, taken better care of myself. She doesn't deserve this. We don't even know if- ” He couldn't finish his sentence.

“She will make it Kui Xian. She will.” ZhouMi smiled and leaned in to kiss Kyuhyun's cheek. “She's your daughter after all. Absolutely stubborn and settling for no less then a grand entrance.”

That was Kyuhyun's first real smile in the five days since he had first seen Chae Rin.

-

There was a lot of 'firsts' after this. First diaper change, first bottle feeding, first crying. But the first time Kyuhyun held Chae Rin was the most memorable.

The nurse passed her to Kyuhyun, dressed and feed. ZhouMi fit a pink beanie around her head. He wanted to roll his eyes at the Chinese, but was quick to find out he couldn't look away from her.

Chae Rin was awake, looking directly at him. He leaned in, nose almost touching hers. It was almost like they were considering each other. To Kyuhyun it felt ... magical. And that was from the snarky magnae (not magnae anymore~), who would barf if anyone else said this.

“Hello... I'm your... I'm your umma.” It felt so weird to say it, but that was no way around it. He was definitely the mother. His still soggy stomach could prove it.

Chae Rin regarded him for another second and then several things happened at the same time. She managed to kick Kyuhyun's biceps, poke ZhouMi's eye with a little fist and punch her umma's nose with the other, even working two little fingers inside a nostril.

As Kyuhyun sneezed his life away, ZhouMi held her close with one long arm, the other rubbing at his aching eye. A smile though, was stitched to his face.

“Stubborn, demanding and with a dazzling sense of humor.”

Kyuhyun smiled, kissing her forehead after he was sure the sneezes stopped.

“She needs training, some refining of her technique. Maybe finding her own style.” He grabbed her bag and motioned for the door. They were finally going home.

“Kyuhyun: the female edition. What else could the world need?”

“Twice the snark, twice the chaos. I couldn't ask for a better combination, Kui Xian.”

Kyuhyun laughed at ZhouMi, but every single word had been true.
