FLACHAU '06!

Feb 26, 2006 12:42

Back from Flachau! I must say that this year we really had a blast. We all set off last Saturday, and after around 4 hours of driving found ourselves somewhere in Salzburger Lande. We unpacked and prepared for a week of God-knew-what.

Before I forget, here's a list of people that were there:
Me (obviously), Fiona, Ana, Ola, Avijit, Alexis, Spina, Nicky Spina, Nick, Albert, Bill, Match (cool dude).

My typical Flachau day looked like this: wake up around 8.30. Eat breakfast, start getting ready around 10. Around 11 - meet up with Fiona and Ana at the bottom of the Achter Jet. Call the guys while on the lift - they normally picked us up around 11.20. We ski for a few hours, ski down to Dampfkessel for lunch - that's around 1.30 pm.

Us chilling at Dampfkessel :) funny times

Me Ana Fiona - the three girls - on our way to meet Ola

Skiing in RANDOM places - both pictures from the time when we skied over to Wagrain - a town on the other side of the mountain

We would all stop skiing around 4 pm. I'd go back to our hotel with Ana and Fiona, so we could take a shower and get ready for later, while for the guys this meant going back down to Dampfkessel for Apres-schi - aka drinking as much beer as possible. They were quite impressive with their drinking - when we went Apres-schi with them once, each of them had about 2 litres of beer (and that's when we left).

After we showered, watched some Winter Olymics and ate dinner with our families, we normally met up around 9 pm to go out - and that's every night. Somehow, we ended up in Yeti's Partyhaus nearly every time. Yeti's was THE place to go for some odd reason: all the Dutch (and Flachau was invaded with the DUTCH) met up there as well. Needless to say, we mostly drank - and drank a lot.

Over all, it was GREAT. I can't wait for next year. The next update will probably have more pics - these are only the ones from Fiona, Avi didn't upload his yet.
