Summary: Junhyung is a beginning social worker, his first client is a seventeen year old boy named Hyunseung. Junhyung has the urge to help him at any cost. But what happens when lines are crossed and boundaries fade? And how far is Junhyung willing to go to save the boy?
G-Dragon sighed heavily when he could finally fall down on the couch, he didn’t think he would get home today.
He couldn’t believe only a day had passed by, with everything that had happened. The day had just seemed to go on forever and ever.
This morning everything was just fine and normal like it’s supposed to, this afternoon at first everything was as well.
But then it just went horribly wrong, all of it. This should have never happened.
Every time G-Dragon closed his eyes, he kept seeing flashes of what happened, Hyunseung’s terrified face, his trembling body, and the lights that went out, complete darkness.
Then he saw himself get beaten up, how Hyunseung tried to get away from Doojoon’s death grip.
Hyunseung’s screams still seemed to resound in his ears. He had never ever felt so hopeless before in his life, being unable to protect the person he cared about the most.
And then there Junhyung was, to save the day.
G-Dragon opened his eyes again; he didn’t want to think about what happened further on. It was something no one would want to replay in their minds.
G-Dragon rubbed his eyes. For how long have they been in the hospital? The day had really dragged on.
He wanted to text or call Hyunseung so badly, to know if he was okay, how Junhyung was doing. But he knew Hyunseung couldn’t use his cell phone inside the hospital.
If only Junhyung would wake up soon, then Hyunseung wouldn’t have to feel alone tonight.
Now that G-Dragon finally had some time to himself to relax, he could feel how much his body was aching. He was surely bruised all over.
Throughout the day, he had done his best to ignore the pain as much as he could, but now there was just no energy left whatsoever.
It even hurt to move, G-Dragon cursed aloud.
He would start planning what to do with Doojoon and Daesung first thing in the morning, for now, he really needed to rest.
He was so exhausted; he couldn’t even imagine how exhausted Hyunseung must be.
G-Dragon wasn’t only hurting psychically but also mentally, it had hurt him to see Hyunseung go through all this. It made everything even harder.
He just wished for Junhyung to wake up really quickly, so that Hyunseung would be able to smile again.
G-Dragon yawned through his thoughts, he was even too tired to get up and go to bed. But he forced himself to do so anyway before he fell asleep on the couch.
Once he finally reached his bed, he didn’t really bother changing his clothes. He had never fallen asleep so quickly.
In the meantime, Junhyung’s eyes took their needed time to adjust to the dim light in the room. His eyes hurt, but he did his very best to open them since he wanted to see Hyunseung, look at him, at his pretty face.
When he finally managed to open his eyes, at first his vision was slightly blurry not to mention the pounding in his head.
His eyes quickly scanned across the room. Junhyung soon realized he was at the hospital. For how long had he been here? He couldn’t remember.
But the last thing that he did remember was the ambulance and Hyunseung at his side. Then the pain took over and everything around him went dark.
Shakily, he lifted his arm and put it around Hyunseung’s waist. It meant the world to him to finally be able to hold him again.
At that, Hyunseung crawled a bit closer, right into his lover’s embrace where he wanted him to be.
“How are you feeling Junnie?” He asked in a soft tone.
“I’m glad to be with you.” Junhyung replied with a smile, his vision was finally clearer.
With his free hand, he caressed Hyunseung’s soft cheek. Then Junhyung tilted his head carefully and slow, to check the clock next to him.
He couldn’t believe it was already that late, how long has he been lying here already? Was Hyunseung even allowed to be here at this hour?
After noticing Junhyung’s frown, Hyunseung chuckled softly. “Don’t worry about it Junnie, the nurse said I could stay the night.” He said.
“You can?” Junhyung asked surprised, at which Hyunseung nodded in return. He didn’t knew these things were even allowed.
Junhyung tried to sit up straight but he quickly let himself fall back down on the bed again. His head seemed to be slightly spinning.
Hyunseung looked at him worriedly; he gently placed his hand onto his lover’s chest. “Stay down Junnie, you need to rest.” He spoke softly.
Junhyung nodded, he thought so too.
“Tell me baby, how long have I been unconscious?” He asked, he couldn’t help but be curious about that.
“I have been so worried about you, you weren’t just unconscious, you were in a coma.” He said while softly caressing Junhyung’s hand before taking his into his own hand.
His answer caused Junhyung to turn silent for a few seconds. He was surprised to hear that.
Yes, he knew he wouldn’t be able to avoid the knife in order to save Hyunseung. But still, he didn’t hesitate one second about doing what he did.
He jumped right forward, pushing Hyunseung by accident harshly, out of the way, onto the ground. It was surely worth it.
Cause how many people could say they met the love of their lives? It was safe to say that Junhyung did. And he didn’t regret anything for a second at all.
But he wouldn’t really have expected that he would be in a coma although he had to admit Doojoon’s knife got him pretty good, as the blood flowed out of him, it felt like the life was as well.
The strange thing was, he seemed to still feel the knife in his stomach although it had been out of his skin for a long time now.
Now Hyunseung wouldn’t be the only one to say he had worn a bandage around his stomach due to injuries.
“I’m really sorry for worrying you, but I’m so glad that you are okay” Junhyung said, cupping Hyunseung’s angelic face into the palm of his hand, drawing his face closer to his own.
Hyunseung’s lips pressing down onto Junhyung’s was something Junhyung had been longing for ever since he woke up.
Hyunseung kissed Junhyung, smiling into the kiss as it was now finally returned. It got tiring after a while, kissing someone who didn’t kiss back. Hyunseung had missed his kisses.
“No need to apologize Junnie. You have no idea how happy I am that you are awake so fast, I feared you would take days.” Hyunseung said when they slowly parted, taking in fresh air.
Junhyung smiled. “Maybe the reason for that is that I knew you were here with me.” He said, his lips curling into a smile.
Hyunseung smiled back at him. It didn’t matter what the reason was for him waking up so fast, it only mattered that he did.
“Junnie?” Hyunseung asked, his smile slowly fading, causing his expression to turn more serious now.
Junhyung raised his eyebrow at him. “Yes?” He asked.
“I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am, thanks for saving me today.” He said, with a small voice.
Junhyung stretched out his arms, gesturing for Hyunseung to come closer to him which he did.
“I’m glad I came in on time, and I would do just about anything to keep you safe.” He answered.
He didn’t want Hyunseung to feel bad about this, it wasn’t his fault. What happened couldn’t be undone. Luckily Hyunseung was safe and so was he.
And those things mattered the most.
“Thank you for everything.” Hyunseung whispered into his neck. Junhyung smiled and closed his eyes for a few seconds.
He opened them again as soon as Hyunseung started speaking again.
“G-Dragon was here today, Yoseob and Kikwang came as well, after I let Kikwang know what happened. They left about two hours ago.” He said.
Junhyung looked at him surprised. “They were?” How where they doing?” He asked, he was grateful towards Hyunseung for contacting his best friend. It meant a lot to him.
“They were worried about you as well of course, but relieved you were alive.” Hyunseung said before continuing. “They’ll be back tomorrow morning.” He said.
Junhyung nodded with a smile. “How is G-Dragon doing?” He asked, remembering G-Dragon being beaten up by some guy. He wanted to help him as well, but Hyunseung was in more danger.
Hyunseung traced his fingertips softly along Junhyung’s chest. “I sent him home, he acts like he’s all okay but I know he isn’t. He’s probably in pain.” Hyunseung said.
Junhyung nodded, resting was good. “I’ll guess we’ll see him back in the morning as well.” He said.
Hyunseung nodded at that. “And how are you feeling Junnie? Are you in pain? Do I need to call a doctor or a nurse for you?” He asked, almost forgetting about that.
Junhyung shook his head “I’m okay I guess, just a little weak, I only need you with me.” He replied with a smile.
Hyunseung laid his head down onto Junhyung’s chest again; he stared down at Junhyung’s stomach, covered with a blanket of course.
“Can I see?” He asked shyly, biting his lip a little.
Junhyung nodded slowly. At that, Hyunseung pulled the covers away carefully before lifting up his hospital shirt.
His fingers ghosted upon Junhyung’s skin. A bandage was on the wound, covered in another bandage which was applied all the way around his stomach to support the smaller bandage.
Junhyung shivered slightly at the contact of Hyunseung’s fingertips. It didn’t hurt but he knew he was still under influence of pain killers.
Hyunseung moved his hand downwards, and placed it onto his bandage. Then he gently caressed his lover’s stomach, careful not to hurt him of course.
Too bad he didn’t posses magical or healing powers, if he did he would make the wound disappear right away.
Junhyung yawned, he was really tired. Hyunseung couldn’t help but wonder where he was supposed to sleep. In the extra bed the nurse provided him of in the hospital bed with Junhyung.
“Do you want to go to sleep Junnie?” Hyunseung asked in a soothing voice. Junhyung nodded at that, as he closed his eyes he answered. “Yeah, actually I would like to.” He replied honestly.
Hyunseung understood him completely; he was dead tired as well. The day had been long enough already, it was time it ended.
Then Junhyung made some room for Hyunseung under the covers next to him. It was clear to Hyunseung where he was supposed to sleep tonight.
It wasn’t like he minded at all.
He quickly got into Junhyung’s arms with a content sigh and a smile on his lips. Feeling the warmth of each other’s body and warm embraces were enough to let them drift of quickly into a deep sleep.
The night went on peacefully while the moon shone brightly outside. Hyunseung and Junhyung slept throughout the night, the reason for that was that they were together. Hyunseung knew for sure that if he would have slept alone that night, he wouldn’t have slept at all.
In the early morning, the moon disappeared for the sun to come out. Although the rays of sun barely gave any warmth, it still was a beautiful day.
G-Dragon, Yoseob and Kikwang met up at the hospital in the early morning. They all talked about how they hoped he would wake up soon and that they wondered how Hyunseung was doing.
The three of them waited patiently until the visiting hour finally began since they were a bit too early.
After a little waiting, luckily they were finally allowed to visit Junhyung. The three of them made their way to Junhyung’s room.
When they entered, they were welcomed by the sun shining through the window and an adorable sight; Hyunseung sleeping into Junhyung’s arms, both with a smile gracing their features.
