*posting attempt #3 or 4*

*SCREAMS* OMG! Our internet has been barely working the past few days. With some patience, I could sort of check my f-list... but I couldn't post and I couldn't get other sites to cooperate beyond their main page. And even the main pages took patience and a great deal of retrying, when they did work.

Things seem to be (almost) back to normal now, though... just in time for me to go and make dinner. I'll post my end-of-year list, though, that I tried to post several times yesterday.

Chris is sick and just plain worn out, so he's taking tonight and tomorrow night off and we're planning to completely veg for the entire time, before he has to go back to work on Sunday night. We're both just so exhausted.

To aid in our vegging we went to the bookstore last night and traded a game in for Zelda: Twilight Princess and also picked up Order of the Phoenix for the Wii, for just $22. Due to our gimptastic internet, I've managed to complete nearly 50% of the game. It's not the height of animation, by any means, and the dialog scenes all have some choppy editing and it's obviously targeted towards the younger side of the audience... but it's a lot of fun! I love just being able to wander around Hogwarts and play all the little mini-games and the spell-casting on the Wii is fantastic! I'm very glad we waited to get this on the Wii. Also, I love that they're incorporating more of the book's details that the movie skipped over, including things referencing previous years.

Man. I haven't sat and played a video game - besides Guitar Hero, which so doesn't count - in a really, really long time. If my game shelf tells me anything, 2004 was the last time I sat and played a game by myself. 2005, maybe 2006 if you count Chris and I playing the first Lego's Star Wars at one point. We seriously neglect our poor gaming consoles.

(AH! I don't even have a 'games' tag. That's just sad.)
