Last weekend, Bailey and I went down to Bartle Hall for the World of Wheels car show. We saw cars of every make, model, shape, size, and condition while we were there, and ended up taking nearly five hundred pictures in the four hours or so that we were there. We had a lot of fun, but by the end we were pretty tired from all that walking.
Here's a sampling of some of what we saw at the show:
There were a lot of "Rat Rods" at the show, which was really cool, because they're some of the most creative custom cars there, mostly because rat rod builders toss the typical rules of car customization out the window.
Saw this on the back of one of the Rat Rods and thought it was kinda funny.
They even had a Delorian at the show, though after watching
Back to the Future they just don't look right without a flux capacitor between the seats and Mr. Fusion on the back.
And the awesomest of all, they had
KITT! Only the most awesomest car to come out of the '80's!
Finally, the
Rumblejetts were playing that night. They are an awesome rockabilly band from KC, and they put on quite a show, as you can see from this picture:
