This past weekend, Bailey and I met up with Phil and Jennifer at the
Beaumont Club to see
Living Sacrifice and
Demon Hunter at the Stronger Than Hell Tour. It was sort of an anniversary thing for all of us, cause Phil and Jennifer got married a couple weeks before Bailey and I did, and this show was pretty close to both anniversaries. Let me tell you, the show was amazing. The first three bands, Advent, The Famine, and Oh Sleeper were so-so, but then again, I wasn't there to see them. Finally Living Sacrifice took the stage and began to shred it. They tore through some of my favorite songs, sounding every bit as good as they did over five years ago the last time I saw them. They ended their set with Reborn Empowered and Reject, at which point both Phil and I left our perch on the upper level and headed into the fray on the floor. After Living Sacrifice was finished, Demon Hunter came out and ripped through a brutal set of their own, only letting up once when they played My Heartstrings Come Undone.
After the show, I caught up with Lance from Living Sacrifice, and got him and Bruce to help me send a video message to Nick, who couldn't get any leave from the Army to come home and go to the show. It really made his day to get a greeting from one of his favorite bands, and while I doubt Bruce or Lance will ever read this, thank you guys for taking a couple moments to do that.
And now, on with the pic spammage:
