 A war, a draft.  We have been brought here to fight for a cause that has nothing to do with us?

Foolish isn't quite the word I'd use... I'd go with "blind", personally. Or "so freaking stupid it hurts".

Maybe the intelligent people got killed already. You don't have to be a genius to push a few buttons. Or they're all in positions where pissing off the boss gets you fired, no questions asked. Had a job or two like that in college.
