Day Three
Saturday
First thing was us getting in the queue to get Scott Bakula’s autograph finally. That only took 1 ½ hours or so…but hey at least we spotted the 5th Doctor walking around :D There have been a lot of Doctors, Companions and Aliens walking around, I liked that!
So Scott. I just had to ask him how badly his hand was hurting at that point and apparently it did a bit. Aww. It was amazing, I think he wrote autographs all Friday until his panel or something. The other ‘superstar’ of the Con wrote only limited autographs…yeah.
Sean Maher
Cute, fun, sarcastic heh. Awoke my urge to watch Firefly which I kinda didn’t want to do for a while because it had felt like Joss had forgotten about Buffy for a while for his new shiny plaything. Silly now, but back then I was seriously pissed off, especially after the Season 6 disaster. Yeah thanks again for that Marti…No, I’m not still bitter…ahem.
Yeah anyway I’m going to watch it now, because since then I became a fan of Nathan Fillion and having seen Sean now…yeah :) He had a sign with him that said ‘Sarcasm J’ because some people don’t seem to get him and so he lifted that up quite a bit.
Garrett meanwhile send some funny stuff to the teleprompter and made Sean laugh a few times. At one moment he started to laugh because on the teleprompter appeared that he didn't use the sign enough and then Garrett came from backstage and Sean said: "Oh it was you, I thought it was God." and a few minutes later Sean started to laugh even harder because on that screen of his there appeared:
"I actually am God." lol
Sean said some very nice things about Joss, what always warms my heart because…yeah no matter what else I watch, Joss is still god. *nods* Sorry Garrett but it’s true ;)
Panel Kate Hewlett and Paul McGillion
Kate came on stage with Garrett and said Paul was still busy (probably still doing photographs lol) and she wanted to do the ‘McGillion Spiel’ Everyone had to lift their hands and then she said some things and when you hadn’t that in common with Paul you’d put your hand down. Don’t remember much about it anymore, but it included things like speaking in a Scottish accent and making fun of her (Kate).
The girl who won got a kiss from Paul who came just on stage as the girl walked up. Big funny stage kiss followed hehe.
Then the SGA Fans came on stage and Paul and Kate were also impressed.
It was a fun panel really. Kate is sweet and funny and yeah…you can tell she’s David’s brother hehe. Some cheekiness going on there too!
She sang and it was really, really nice ♥ Paul was pretty impressed too by this.
At one point someone asked them to have a little role play with Paul as Rodney. Jennifer (Kate) was right and she should convince Rodney of that. Kate was like ‘Do you want to see the short version?” And then just slapped Paul’s forehead. lol
About their first meeting: Paul: “That's when she fell in love.” Kate just said very dryly and quickly, before anyone else could react: “…with women!”
I really wish I could remember all the bantering, but it was fun and boy Kate is also one pretty thing!
The Sea Sheppered Auction followed and RDA was being a clown. Again. You could bid for Meet and Greets with RDA, Nicole DeBoer and… I forgot. Austria! ;) Help?
The Costume contest
Some boring stuff, some very good costumes and….A blowfish! :D It was quite fun, especially to hear everyone’s reaction. It was amazing how many people clapped and cheered :D
So blowflish (carrying his own car lol) runs over the stage. Partner walking up to the moderator of the costume contest (Nessi) and her reaction was so funny. *eyeroll* and pointing towards where the blowfish had err driven. Then after more applause she also did the ‘bloody Torchwood’ line. Fun! :D
Oh forgot to mention…At 13:00 everyone in a Star Trek costume met to try for a new world record. The number from Las Vegas convention was beaten…691 Trekkies :)

After the costume contest we went to the bar and met some very nice people and spend a nice time until our last bus went with chatting and a little bit of dancing.
