There is a rather sheepish looking wolf youkai scouring the Nexus today. You see, interdimensional time being what it is, he's lost track of it and wound up coming with his collection of gifts a day late. Whoops! Oh well, hopefully no one minds getting a pick-me-up the day after the festivities are, for the most part, over.

Aya calls out to Ginta.

"Aya!" He grins before digging a silver package with a blue bow out of the bunch (it's wrapped nicely enough that one might suspect he had help with it).

"Happy Christmas... or day after. Um, I kinda got a little backward in keeping up with the days between here and my world." He rubs at the back of his neck a little sheepishly before handing her the gift. Inside is a leather gauntlet overlaid with simple but striking iron work pattern. One of those kinds of things that walks the line between practical armor and jewelry. It is in good shape but it is clear from the occasional scratch on the surface that it is not new.

"It's okay. It worked better this way."

She is less concerned with the gift than pulling him close and holding him. Only after that is done does she concern herself with the package.

She smiles softly and lightly touches the gauntlet. "It's the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Thank you."

She ducks her head embarrassedly. "Your gift is back home."

Then holding there shall be! Perhaps even nuzzling.

He smiles warmly at her reaction, looking just a touch distant for a second, as if remembering something. "I'm really glad you like it. I can't take credit for picking it out, though. It, heh, belonged to my mother."

He laughs, amused at the fact that she's embarrassed when he's the one who came late, and wraps an arm around her waist. "Well, good. Nice and safe, then."

Her eyes are bright.

"Thank you," she breathes, leaning forward to kiss his cheek.

She leans against him. "Come with me to get it?"

His smile turns a little odd, in that way that happens when people try to hide the fact that they're choked up. She gets how important the trinket is, he can tell.

"You're welcome. Wouldn't trust it to anyone else," he whispers back before clearing his throat.

"Alright." He pulls out his PINpoint and punches in the coordinates for the Kitten, then lets his thumb hover over the send button. "Should I do the honours?"

She turns the gauntlet over in her hands, unsure of whether to wear it now or only on some very special occasion.

His words make her blush, and she finds it hard to look at him.

Talking about PINpointing brings her back to the present. She looks at the coordinates. "Yes, but wrong home. I meant my place in the Nexus."

"Oh, that home! Heh, glad I asked first." He clears the coordinates from the screen before calling up the proper ones and sending them on their way. Poof!

Aya-chan calls out to Yukio as she opens the door. No answer. He must not be home. She signals Ginta to follow her into the kitchen. There are packages piled near the table.

She offers Ginta a green package with a metallic gold bow. "This is yours."

Inside are spear points and a medical case filled with both medicinal herbs and modern medicines and bandages.

The wrapping is torn from the box and he peers in. "Ooh, niiice." He picks up one of the spear points and examines it. "Man, this is pretty enough that I'd almost feel bad to take this out hunting." He starts rifling through the medicine case. "And this will definitely get a lot of use."

He smiles widely at her before putting the box down (because spear points and hugs don't mix) and giving her a huge hug. "Thank you! These are great."

She returns the hug.

"The blue packages are for the boys."

"Ahh." He sniffs at those packages, the wolfy equivalent of shaking them to see what it might be. "I'm sure they'll love 'em."
