Intro...
Hi all, I just wanted to give a little info about myself, since I just joined and think this community is an awesome idea... I'm a questioning FTM, and had the extremely odd experience of finding Christ and my transgendered nature at roughly the same time. I go to an Episcopal church and have had nothing but supportive experiences so far from the congregation (though, as usual, some education was in order).
I'm very interested in monasticism and intentional Christian community, and in the tradition of trans or crossdressing XX saints (most of whom are celebrated by the Orthodox church, but some - Hildegund of Schoenau or Joan of Arc, for example - who are still celebrated by the Catholic/Anglican church).
I also wanted to pass along this link, in case anyone else hadn't seen it yet: Call Me Malcolm is a documentary about an FTM divinity student in the United Church of Christ. Definitely looks interesting, I haven't been able to track it down yet though. Apologies if I missed it being mentioned in the archives...
