so for all of you who don't know, smith is hogwarts.

we live in houses.

there are four housing sections of campus, each with their own personality. my own opinion is that the quad is slytherin (competitive, rich, and just generally evil); green street is definately ravenclaw (because all they do is study, seriously); elm street is gryffindor (because they're liberal, go against society, stick to their views, and are proud of whatever they stand for and never back down); and center campus is hufflepuff (because there are some pretty lame houses in center campus that have the hufflepuff lame factor....but cool houses like haven have really strong, close knit communities and work well together as a team).

you enter as a first year, and not a freshmen.

we eat candlelit dinners.

there is an ancient book section and a restricted section in the library.

there is a restaurant in the town nearby called the Toasted Owl

Tom Riddle has been seen on campus (not even kidding, he's a dean here)

we have a lake that you can boat on, but never swim in

there's a train station near the school

there are some insane plants that just may eat you in the greenhouse

we have traditional "feasts"

we have acronyms that aren't used at any other schools

we have a 10 minute break in between classes

each of the houses has a common room

smith students get along well with northampton society, just as hogwarts students get along well with the hogsmede community

the food is fresh and is grown locally

there is a beautiful pitch on our campus (ok, its for rugby but still...a pitch is a pitch)

that should be enough to convince you. i can't even look up any more similarities because i'm getting wayyyy freaked out.
