Well hello again ! (: Fancy seeing you on a more regular basis, lol !
Yesterday after work, I was supposed to be packing, but instead did the "mental packing preparation process" LOL otherwise known as me running through all my clothes and deciding what to bring with me for our trip. Makes it a lot easier, haha. It is always hard for me to pack, especially for anything over a few nights, because I HATE picking out clothes ahead of time. I like to pick out what I wear each day, depending on my mood and how I am feeling (ie. bloated, a baggier shirt; girly, maybe something tigher or lower cut; etc) so I am not a big proponent of planning ahead. Gene is going to kill me. He wants to be ON THE ROAD by 2:30 today, and I get out of work at 2 (might try to sneak out early) and have yet to pack. :-O :-O
SO .. yesterday was a good day. We ended up stopping by Chuck & Melanie's to scope out their "garage sale" before it officially starts. They FINALLY sold their BEAUTIFUL house !! A while back, Gene & I were interested in it, but they were just asking too much for it, it was out of our price range, and it is out of the school district, which would mean problems for my job. /: ANYWAYS .. Chuck gave Gene a GREAT deal on a practically new rototiller ($30 !!) and Gene is also thinking about buying a four wheeler, an elliptical, a toolbox, some power tools, some guns, etc ! I just want to snag some of their many assorted lilies and transplant them into our garden !!! LOVE lilies of all kinds !! Still need to get my clear spray paint for my cattails before they "explode" ): ): Hope Mom will take care of it while I am away this weekend, I don't want to risk losing them.
Anyways, we hung out with Melanie and chatted for a little while, catching up, and then headed out to meet Meagan & Jack at the Chinese Buffet for dinner. It was their six month wedding anniversary, lol. We had fun ! I really wanted to get a workout in but since it was seemingly impossible, I just tried not to go overboard at the buffet, which I never do anyways. It was a good time though. We stuck around and chatted for a little bit, then parted ways to get the rototiller home. Gene went to the bathroom and I DVRed the new Futurama (plus the repeat of last week's two episode premiere) and we left to head back to Chuck & Melanie's to help out. Melanie can't lift over five pounds while recovering from surgery, so Chuck needed help getting things out for the sale this weekend. I was feeling EXHAUSTED so I had Gene drop me off so I could shower and get to bed (and ideally pack) and let him go over there by his lonesome.
I came home, showered, and went to bed. No packing. I am hoping to sneak out of work a little early today (depending on whether or not the evil one is here) and get a move on packing, since I am not sure how long we will be gone, or where we are going, or what the weather will be like. So I am probably going to pack a bunch of t-shirts, tanks, tops, and some jeans, a crapload of undies, and that's about all. Maybe a sundress ? No shorts or swimsuits, probably some workout gear in case we go running, but I think I will probably get my period today. UGH. Which puts a damper on everything. I think our trip is going to be cut drastically short, which in some ways is okay with me. I would like to explore other places sometime, and visit other family & friends, like I was saying, so maybe we can do some of that, or just relax at home for the remainder of our days off, saving money, working out, eating in, watching movies, seeing local fam & friends. (: We'll see. Whatever we do, I am sure it will be fun. (:
I am kind of sad I didn't go back with Gene to Chuck & Melanie's because they said I could ride the four wheeler last night since I have never been on one, LOL !! And I don't know if Gene is seriously going to buy it (he sounded pretty serious) but if he doesn't, it will probably go quick and I will lose my chance/opportunity, LOL !
Anyways .. so today Gene is either taking the whole day off work or a half day I think, and he & Dad may head back over to their garage sale. I wish I could just take half days at will. He is going to kill me if I do not get packed fast. So after work, I change, pack, and we get on the road. We need to stop down in Erie (making our trip that much longer) so we can pick up fireworks, and maybe visit Debbie.
Right now, our computers at work are REALLY messed up. Not the computers really, but the property system (DLS). It is taking FOREVER to do ANYTHING. So this should be a fun day. NOT. Well, I guess I will try to get some stuff done around here.
