I was on my way home from work in the usual crowded commute up the interstate. Surprisingly for a Tuesday, traffic was moving faster than usual, and I was looking forward to getting dinner started before my friend came over. Only this time, around the area where we had some new construction, I noticed a silver Toyota come up behind me faster than was comfortable. Over and over. Female driver, details obscured. Probably texting or on the phone.
"Don't you dare hit me [deleted]," I muttered.
Two minutes later:
BAM!
I yanked the Mustang off the highway and into the emergency lane between the construction cones and was out of that car like a thundercloud of doom. She pulled the silver Toyota behind me.
