Cho was headed back to the common room. As she got closer, she saw Emily coming her direction, a book tucked under her arm and a look of frustration on her face.

"You alright?" she asked as the girl got within hearing distance.

"Me?" Emily said quickly, a bit of pink coming to her cheeks. "Oh..yes, I'm fine...just getting away from the common room. There's a few obnoxious first years in there, and it's hard to study..."

Cho gave a knowing nod.

"Tell me about it. Yesterday, two second years were pretending wads of parchment were bludgers and one landed right in the tea I'd brought up from dinner."

Emily giggled a little, letting her book rest on her hip.

"It's some point in fourth year when most of them grow up, I've noticed," She said knowledgeably. "I just wish they would hurry up with it."

Cho thought back to fourth year and the lack of worries.

"Yep, before OWLs or NEWTs. It's shortly after Christmas that the professors start in on the fourth years. You'd think that being in Ravenclaw they'd catch the studious bug a little earlier, but they don't."

"Some of them do," Emily said thoughtfully. "I've seen a few mature ones, but 'few' is the key word..."

"So, what are you working on?" she pointed to the book in Emily's hand.
