Multiple Threads! BIRTHDAY POST!
Elley's dorm mates had shut Elley's alarm off so she could sleep either. It may have been because they thought a person should sleep in on their birthday or that her excitement is now so welcome so early. Either way, Elley liked the gesture.
Though, the first thought and words that came out of her mouth, like they were every year, where, "IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!"
As always, there was a parcel at her feet and Dove, her cat, dove to wrestle it. Laughing, Elley opened her father's gift and saw his traditional book. But there was also a set of pearls her mother used to wear all of the time and a fairy Halloween costume that had a beautiful corset top and short, flowing skirt that was just long enough. And, as he knew, she would create wings out of light.
After getting dressed and putting the pearls on, Elley ran down into the common room to see if anyone was in there.
