The latest from the Daily Kooks: Trump has put us at DEFCON 1. We cannot shrug at 'Never Again'. This is just so full of LULZ.
This is an alarmist post because the situation we face today is so alarming. Donald Trump is a genuine fascist who has no regard whatsoever for democratic governance. He has taken savage pleasure in fomenting violence at his own rallies, lamenting that “nobody wants to hurt each other anymore.” He has heaped praise on the world’s most ruthless tyrants, like Vladimir Putin, Saddam Hussein, and Kim Jong Un. And he has the full-throated backing of modern-day Nazis whose support he has not only refused to disavow, but instead proactively cultivated. The threat he poses to the future of this republic and the safety of the world is unknowable and may be without limit.
This asshole, once again, parrots all the usual leftoid talking points. We've been over this before. I'll just add this vid from Demcon: Geraldo Rivera at Demcon. You ever see any vids of Trump's supporters behaving like that old leftie? You can pick him out real easy: he's the one screaming "Fuck you" repeatedly at Rivera.
Yes, The Donald™ is such a "fascist" that has so little regard for the democratic process he placed his name in the running for the nomination and campaigned in many a state primary. WHUDDAFASCIST!

I never imagined we’d find ourselves standing on the brink, but my father taught me-taught many people-how to recognize the warning signs. He faced down the very same things Trump is threatening: a state that denied the basic humanity of its most vulnerable members, that set its citizens to war against one another, that did away with those it considered undesirable.
When has TheDonald™'s supporters demanded that certain classes of citizens participating in his rallies get in the back? Who are calling for citizens to go to war with one another? Somehow, I highly doubt these are Trumpsters.

And I am, for the first time since I began covering American politics, genuinely afraid.
Donald Trump is not a man who should be president. This is not an ideological judgment. This is not something I would say about Mitt Romney or Marco Rubio. This is not a disagreement over Donald Trump’s tax plan or his climate policies. This is about Trump’s character, his temperament, his impulsiveness, his basic decency.
Back in February, I wrote that Trump is the most dangerous major candidate for president in memory. He pairs terrible ideas with an alarming temperament; he's a racist, a sexist, and a demagogue, but he's also a narcissist, a bully, and a dilettante. He lies so constantly and so fluently that it's hard to know if he even realizes he's lying. He delights in schoolyard taunts and luxuriates in backlash.
Those of us who have an attention span somewhat longer than that of a four y/o with ADD remember when libbies were saying the same things about George W. Bush. They said it for eight long years. Bush did the first 9-11, he was gonna pull off a false flag that would cancel the Ought 4 elections and declare himself president for life. It was so critical that John Kerry be elected if we were to save the Republic.
Then it was the Ought 8 election that was going to be cancelled. Maybe Klein thinks you forgot all about that, or how he fawned over the Big O like a silly, star-struck school girl.
Proving, once again, if you want to know what liberals really think, listen to what they say about those with whom they disagree.
