we know god only as much as we need him.
that's what karen mentioned in cell last friday, and i've been sorta mulling over it since then (: isnt it ironic that the shitty periods of life are only useful (in a warped way) if we choose to turn to god and commit what we cannot control into his hands? and it isnt that useful if we only thank god in retrospect, cuz that would be too late to learn as much. i guess that's what they mean by having to practice depending on god so that we will reflexively turn to him when we most need him! oh wells. i think life is an irony..it hasnt proved my point wrong so far haha (:
ok then henceforth the IQ content of this post shall plunge to 0.
on a completely separate note, i swear i will never squish with another thousand blogshop crazy girls for the sake of a few pieces of cotton ever again! in a fit of estrogen-induced bimboticism, an unnamed friend and i decided to go to Helipad for BC's sale after church, and what ensued was the most educational 4 hours of my life. it was kinda funny to see how everyone in the queue mentally rips apart other girls' clothes (in C's terms), and how triumphant early-bird shoppers strut out of the warehouse with other girls hungrily eyeing the BC plastic bags they were swinging in their hands. by the end of the whole thing it wasnt really funny anymore though..must say i've had enough of the singapore-blogshop-girl look for awhile, seeing as to how 3 million people were wearing the look in the queue yesterday haha >< it might just be cooler to wear a baggy shirt and ah-pek sandals to the sale next time just to be different :P thankfully C was great entertaining company! haha. i would have died of boredom/ heat stroke/air-headedness otherwise.
