Misery Loves a Lonely Stranger (Or Two)
Oliver, meanwhile, was heading over to the other side of the parking lot to go get mindfuckingly wasted as he assumed one should when they were playing Warped Tour. He entered a communal beer tent, or so it looked like, and started mingling with the other bands, having a lovely time of it, when his peepers landed on a figure not too far away, standing there in this oh-so-fucking-elegant way; his lengthy limbs posed in a stance so breathtaking that Oli completely forgot where he was, and could only register this fuckinghot piece of God’s perfection in front of him, and the tingling that was coming from somewhere beneath his fly.
Oli moved forwards, toward this long-haired, limp-wristed Adonis, because that was the only thing his one-track mind could really register, but before he could reach the said beautiful man, the beautiful man looked at Oli, which for some reason, stopped him in his tracks. The beautiful man came forward and Oli’s eyes stared at Beautiful Man’s legs, because they were just - oh, Goddddd.
“Heeey, Oli, right?” said the beautiful man.
“That’s me,” Oli managed to say quite successfully, and the pretty man’s face broke out into a bright’n’shiny smile. Oliver melted a little bit.
“You’re, uh, in a heavy band aren’t you? I’m sorry to say I haven’t heard you guys before. When’s your next set? I’ll totally come watch,” babbled the beautiful stranger, still smiling his kilowatt smile.
“Bring Me The Horizon, aye; should definitely see us tomorrow. Well, tha’ is if you’re bru’al enough to ‘andle Sheffield metal,” Oli grinned, regaining a small piece of dignity.
“Oh God, you’re British as well as cute? This just keeps getting better. I think I can handle brutal, Oli, but the question is can you handle pop-punk?” Oli’s neck was suddenly really very hot.
“I think I can handle anyfin’ you throw at me...”
“Beckett. William Beckett.”
“I can handle your pop-spunk, William Beckett.”
“Ooooh, can you?” Beckett gushed, closing the air between himself and Oli so that their hips were just grazing each other, to whisper in Oli’s ear: “bet you couldn’t handle me in the bedroom.” before winking and disappearing into the crowd, leaving Oli thoroughly speechless, and dangerously close to having a raging hard-on.
“Oh, fuck,” Oli moaned to himself. This was going to be one hell of a tour.
I Don’t Mind You Under My Skin.
Jack knew. Jack knew and accepted. Jack knew, accepted and was completely okay with the fact that he no longer went to school with, lived in the same suburb as, or had any contact with Alex Gaskarth. He was totally fine with the fact he no longer saw him every day, could no longer press him against the closest hard surface to kiss him spontaneously and could no longer dick around with his best friend and/or boyfriend.
Honestly, Jack had accepted this long ago; it was just one of those fucking things. People move away all the time. Lovers break up all the time. Tragedy strikes everyone, blah blah blah blahhh. Jack was sick of people asking if he was okay, because he so obviously was okay. But it still hurt to remember just how happy they had been together, and Jack knew it would take years to stop thinking about him. But he liked thinking about Alex, about the times they had and how warm and happy and sunshiney he felt all the time and - okay, Jack was living in the past. Maybe he could move to the same state as Alex once school ended and then he could live in the sunshiney present. But Jack was still in his final year and couldn’t move just yet. Goddamn this ridiculous education system.
