we're taking shortcuts and false illusions

I feel like I've abandoned this place, because of the bite-sized spontaneous nature of twitter. That's where the changing face of the Internet generation lies. Everything has been condensed to be able to fit into the palm of our hands, and to cater to our insatiable need for instant gratification.

I don't want to be reduced to bite-sized means of thinking. I want to return to relishing lengthy pages of beautifully crafted words, to read more, write more. I envy those who can deliciously transform seemingly-random musings into profound insights and perspectives, how even the simple things can be turned into vivid descriptions. Me, I more often than not have to reach out for a new webpage dedicated to thesaurus.com. It's because of the 'Simple, simple, simple!' mindset we've been used to.

I want to give a chance to the complex, to the deep, to the contradictory.
